How much can you believe from a very drunk young lady who agrees to have sex with some-one she has only just met. One or both of them may have been guilty of rape, but the behaviour of the young lady does leave a lot to be desired.

Moral compassing does not change anything.

A woman has any right she chooses to have sex with whom she chooses under whatever circumstances (assuming both parties are consenting, of course).

As far as I know being young, getting pissed and being on the pull is not a crime.

"Being on the pull" I assume is a term for "trying to get laid"?

Neither is Evans.
He was and is now finding out that his punishment is not just 2 years in prison.

Anyone with a criminal conviction as serious as his will struggle to find work, even more so when it's a high profile job.

Soooooooo....seems Oldham and Evans are on again!Probably off again by the time I press 'post quick reply'.

What was Gordon Taylor thinking when he compared the Evans situation to the injustice of the Hillsborough tragedy?

Gordon Taylor is a massively overpaid, insensitive, self-serving imbecile.

Apart from that, he seems okay.

Anyone who thinks that someone who is that drunk that they don't know what they're doing is fair game for sordid sex is a low life as far as I'm concerned.
If he ever does get another game he deserves all the shit he'll get.

And who has said that?

No one, but it's a short step to there from what you've said.

I'm not judging you but some people will put words in your mouth to take your statements the rest of the way home, if you understand.

No - the Police press charges and then the Crown Prosecution Service prosecute them. This case would have been R v Evans (Regina - ie, the Crown)
One was seen as having her consent as he initiated the act in a hotel room which she willingly went to. The other joined in once she was already in very compromising situation. We have no way of knowing what went on that night, but there is a conceivable big difference between these two acts.

Not if she's already off her face before she meets McDonald there isn't, then she's in no position to give consent to either.

This whole thing could have been handled a hell of a lot better by Evans which would have gone some way to limiting the damage he has done. For one thing he shouldn't be near football while the appeal is going on and then he should be remorseful, properly apologise and do something to dissuade other young men from making the same mistakes he has. As it is I can't see a way back into football for him.

CCTV showed she wasn't though. Hence why he was found not guilty. Without wishing to be crude, when she's there naked on a bed she is very very vulnerable
