CCTV showed her inside and outside the kebab shop looking rather worse for wear, staggering around and even going as far as forgetting her handbag inside said shop, she was pissed long before Evans' introduction at the hotel.

I think the jury must have looked on it in a similar way you are, that because she willing got in the taxi and went back to the hotel with McDonald that she consented but from the phrasing of it in reference to Evans not having consent because she was in no fit state to decide then the same should also have applied to McDonald because she was in no fit state to decide to go back to the hotel with him in the first place.

They're both as bad as each other.

Feel free to patronise me as much as you like, but before you do please think for a moment about the difference a 19 year old girl would feel between going back to a hotel with a man in a consensual manner (even if drunk at the time) and then seeing his mate turn up in the room uninvited by her. I've not heard of a charge of accessory ever made in the case of rape but to me that's what McDonald was in this case, but as I have said before only 2 (or 3) people really know what went on in that room.

Not sure if that's fact or just what Evans claims but either way it's cancelled about by her being drunk, she was seen as unable to consent because of her condition regardless of what she said/did at the time.

You can still give consent even if you a hammered, but would have lacked capacity to make a reasoned judgment.

Actually you can't. If you have no capacity to make reasoned judgement your consent means nothing and it is considered reckless to rely upon such consent.

How much can you believe from a very drunk young lady who agrees to have sex with some-one she has only just met. One or both of them may have been guilty of rape, but the behaviour of the young lady does leave a lot to be desired.

Honesty & Integrity are not affected in any way by promiscuity.

There is nothing stopping any club in this country offering Evans a contract, subject to whatever conditions he is under licence (he might be obliged to live no more than an hour from a certain police station, for example). If the fans of such a club say they don't want him then the club don't have to listen if they don't want to. Oldham seemed prepared to take that stance 24 hours ago, I don't know what's changed since. Which is such a cheap shot as to beggar belief. Besides which sponsor money would be insignificant in relation to grants obtained and existing funding for a new stand. If Oldham's commercial deals topped £1m p/a I would be very surprised. Stands cost more than that.

Didn't realise that as well as definitely not being a rapist, Chedwyn was also privy to the financial minutiae of Oldham Athletic.
