BT

Sunday - Dover v Palace
Yeovil/Accy v Man Utd

Tuesday - Everton v West Ham

The last time a Man Utd FA Cup tie wasn't televised live was vs Exeter on 8th January 2005. Only 8 of their ties since February 1993 haven't been shown.

To be fair there are not many ties that catch the imagination this time. I would rather watch Everton vs West Ham than some Championship dross vs Championship dross.

I get why they show Man Utd against lower teams. Bigger viewing figures and potential of a shock.

I don't agree with standard Prem League games being shown ahead of Stoke v Wrexham or other non league teams v Prem/Championship teams.

Dover v Palace being on is a decent decision.

Would have liked to see Gateshead v West Brom or Stoke v Wrexham before doling out tv money to what is already a Premier League tie.

Just playing devil's advocate for a moment, but if you're a TV executive then do you really want to show Stoke (not a neutral's favourite team, although they do play some ok stuff these days) vs Wrexham which has every chance of being 2-0 to the home team after 10 minutes and everyone turns off?

Would prefer to see the potential of a shock than Everton and West Ham rolling out their reserve teams in front of the cameras in a half full stadium.

Take round 1. Exeter should have easily seen off Warrington, but didn't, same as Hartlepool v Blyth the other week

Gateshead v West Brom would have been a good one to have on, pleased that the Dover game is being shown though

The big annoyance will be when Arsenal are 3 up in ten minutes at the Emirates against Hull. Absolute waste of a TV slot.

Would have been nice to follow the Blyth story, the Everton game is on BT anyway I think so it's not taking up one of the free-to-air slots.

I suppose the BBC will use the rationale that non-subscribers to Sky/BT never get to see Premier League teams taking each other on and this is their chance to do so for nothing. I don't necessarily agree with that and Arsenal should win fairly easily (although you never know, didn't they need a late equaliser vs Hull at home this season to snatch a point? And were 2-0 down in the cup final) but I can see why they've done it.

Small team vs big team always good stuff
Big team vs small team not so much.

What's wrong with that?

It'll mess up PTG for a start!

We've played in a few, the atmosphere has been poor and the club have ended up doing ticket deals

Friday night is football league slot. Put the Premier League in there and you kill that. Rich get richer.....
