The Film Thread

Anyone seen The Raid yet?

No but it sounds awesome. And very violent.

Trailer looks ace, I think I'm going to have a hard time convincing the missus to come and see it though!

Because of the subtitles or violence?

Violence, she hates it. The weirdo that she is!

Which probably means that most of us will think it's painfully UNfunny :D

Harsh... I thought I was getting better....

and the movie actually is quality and that's from the voice of my girlfriend. Who has a better sense of humour and funny than me

Well, better as in less frequent, yes ;)

Saw The Avengers last night, cracking film. I have a question, however...At the end of the credits, the alien is talking to someone about Earth...who's he talking to? I missed the big reveal as I'd taken my glasses off and was half way out of the cinema when it happened!!

Saw this last night, good film although it didn't require much thinking (but that was what I wanted)! I still don't like watching in 3D personally.

Anyway, a small side note but technically a documentary film - my own web series (which I lined produced and 'starred' in) is free to watch on youtube if anyone wants to view it :)

Definitely plan too, got a lot of free time so The Raid, Prometheus and Chernobyl Diaries are on my list to watch :D And maybe Ted, love family guy and it's made by the same guy so I hope it'll be just as good! Don't know when it is out though.

Saw the Avengers at the weekend - brilliant stuff. Slick script, great performances, humour and action. Hulk and Loki stole the show.

Cool, if you've made it onto IMDB then you are a hero of mine :)
Do you want me to review it and boost your score ??

That'd be great yeah, hopefully you like it and don't have to make up a good review :D

Just went to see Prometheus a few days ago. Solid story, great effects, gore and suspense!

What?! I watched it on release day and it was awful. You can watch the trailer and you have seen it all

I actually really liked it! I didn't watch the trailer so that's probably why ;)

Not really film, but don't think we got a thread just for TV programmes? Anyway, watched season 1 of LOST on Netflix over the last few days, I'm hooked and defiantly going to carry on watching the next 5 seasons.
