The FIFA Debacle

It won't happen, unless all of UEFA do it. Unilateral message by our FA will do no good apart from ensuring we are permanently ostracised.

Yup. If you do something unilateral without a UEFA remit don't be at all surprised if that is what UEFA sanction.

Fair enough, so all that rhetoric from Dyke and Platini was just bullshit and the status quo will be resumed.
 
No - I just think that unilateral action will seem to undermine Platini. We need to wait for the extraordinary meeting of UEFA that will no doubt be called. Dyke himself has immediately said that unilateral FA action would be "ridiculous". A united front is the way to bring this edifice down.

Well yes - ideally you want that cunt Blatter to have lost, but that was always hugely unlikely. Play the long game. The FBI will.
 
Greg Dyke has just been talking on Channel 4 News and he says the same, the Americans have only just started and he doubts Blatter will last a full term.
 
UEFA must now do what must be done. Words are fine, but unless UEFA act now and withdraw their member countries from the 2018 world cup, then Blatter would have won.
 
The problem is the western world view on Blatter is the polar opposite to how they view him in Africa Asia etc. End of the day a lot of people simply don't give a shit what FIFA are upto as long as they are doing ok and aren't affected by there corruption. Totally wrong but that's how 133 other nations world wide view things.
The voting system is floored to start with Germany Population has as much power as Tahiti in these votes.
 
Don't confuse the opinion of the leaders of African / Asian FAs with the opinion of normal people.

Imagine if everyone judged us by Greg Dyke.....

To be fair if south Africa had to bribe fifa to get the first world cup in africa then there is certainly very odd.
