The F1 Thread

How is that? Massa was champion until Hamilton passed Glock at the last corner in Interlagos.

Irvine needed to beat Hakkinen at Suzuka to win the title, he didn't and lost fair and square.

Hamilton was always going to get past Glock.

This is going nowhere so I'll leave it.

Felipe will just have to repay my faith in him.

If he pays you as well as his sponsors pay Ferrari, you'll be laughing.

I still don't think you can read anything into the testing times at all yet. The temperatures are still too cold to properly assess the tyres yet.

Red Bull, McLaren and Lotus all seem to have good long run times on the harder tyres so predictably they will be the top 3 teams IMO.

Sky reporting that Sutil will be getting the second Force India seat.

Razia dropped already by Marussia. Bianchi gets the seat.

No surprise, though the rumour was Kovalainen.

Mercedes glory running with the DRS open wherever possible. Utterly pointless.

Are they? I thought it was changed so that you can only use it in DRS zones this season? Or is testing exempt from that?

It's all over Twitter. I guess its exempt in testing.

It was bollocks conjured up by the German and Spanish it seems. Nobody really has a clue! Impressive pace nevertheless.

The more teams competing at the front the better so it's good to see them going well, I doubt whether they'll be in the top 6 in Melbourne though.

Everybody is playing their chances down. Red Bull are regarded as visually looking the best on track but who knows. Happy that Ferrari seem to have no correlation issues so far.

Gary Anderson on the BBC website has compiled a timesheet based on minimum amounts of fuel the cars could be running and has Mercedes and Ferrari as the the fastest teams with Red Bull about 6th!

There's no way that's going to pan out that way. Red Bull are notorious for fueling heavy until the serious running starts in Qualifying.

:icon_lol:

I saw a brief preview of that on the F1 Show. Looks fun.
