Looks like the mangos struggled with the heat in the Central Coast today.

Leclerc out on lap one and both Mercs have jumped Verstappen. Safety car though so that will no doubt shake things up again.

Quite a big prang for Albon. Another safety car and Russell pits so Lewis leads but now it’s a red flag

I think the red flag has utterly fucked Russell. He is going to be in seventh on cold hard tyres at the restart. So now only one Merc ahead of Max at the restart.

Better than 5 laps behind a safety car, they should do this more often. They do in the feeder series already and it works well / gives much more exciting racing.

I’m in agreement really. It will make for a tremendous two lap shoot out. But it feels a little bit false as I do think the red was a massive over reaction

They need to take the original grid (as final result) but UK commentary reckons we will get the restart for 2 meters and this order is taken. Weird

And they've done this. I'm pleased that it at least keeps Alonso in the championship hunt, not an easy decision for the stewards but like you say, they didn't have much choice.
