Great stuff. Win in Lewis' hands now, just needs to be careful on the restart.

Yep.

Rain came down on 1 corner of the track and Merc timed his pit stop perfectly which allowed him to take around 2 sec a lap off the leaders. Then Seb crashed out and the 2 ahead of him pitted under the safety car and he was suddenly in 1st.

Yes.

The rain helped, but his strategy to go on the softs and go very long in the first stint set him up.

Two great drives through the field in a row. Silverstone was brilliant, but to get to the top of the podium today was awesome.

One thing I forgot to mention from being at Silverstone - you can't appreciate on the box just how utterly awful the Williams are. They were so far back they couldn't even catch up the train in the first safety car. That machine is an absolute bag of nails.

Considering they have a Merc engine that is pretty shitty from a design view point

Aero wise the Williams is a shit biscuit.

Hamilton summoned to the stewards - sounds like a time penalty on the way so he probably won't get the win.

Likely get a 5 second penalty for that and Bottas will take the win

Poor if thats true, they had tons of time to do it before the podium. Pathetic to award the trophy etc and then take it away.

There was something like 16 laps left when he did it and you can see why when you hear the Team radio "Box box Box...no stay out..IN IN IN IN...actually stay out". The Stewards saw it then and so easily had the time to look at it, like they did with Sainz and gave him a 10 sec penalty before the end. This would suggest that a team has made a complaint, going to stick my neck out and say one with a red car.

Best case scenario for Lewis - Couple of points on his license and a slap on the wrist but they love dishing out the time pens at the mo, so I reckon 5 will be added to his time

Throw this in..

FIA race director Charlie Whiting points out that Hamilton didn't break the regulation regarding the pit entry bollard in the event notes

So they were happy with the incident so 100% a team complaint has led to the Stewards calling him in

Well you can't blame Ferrari for that really. The seven points makes a difference. Of course, if the penalty had been given during the race, Merc could have got Bottas to slow down...

Aye - I guess so. Hopefully Lewis keeps the win, but I think it is a little ominous.

Nowt official but Lewis is confident nothing changes after speaking with the stewards.
