Frentzen, JV and Zonta all rolled it in '99. Can't think of one off the top of my head since.

He actually lost a lot of speed with the spin and went in backwards so the impact was nowhere near as bad as it could have been. Scary though. Eventful race so far and all of a sudden Alonso and Hamilton are 4th and 5th!

Agreed. The red flag combined with the first lap carnage gives Hamilton a very good chance of a podium finish.

Harsh to blame Verstappen for the first corner. It looked like there would be space down the inside. Vettel chopping across like a maniac was what caused the incident. 100% his fault.

Also I think it's harsh to blame Pirelli for Sainz's tyre failure. Kimi and Verstappen had driven along that straight previously with a punctured tyre and a damaged wing chucking debris around. I'm fairly certain that will be what caused Sainz's puncture.
