I bet Lewis is hoping he doesn't get a reprimand for the incident. He already has 2 and a 3rd means a 10 place grid penalty. Ideal when the next race is that ace track for over taking - Monaco.

Wolff on the incident
“A very difficult situation, a very difficult incident to analyse. Definitely not a clear cut. I wouldn’t want to blame either. Lewis had much more speed, Nico closed the door, Lewis was too wide on the inside and lost the car. It is definitely not a 100%

Both Merc drivers summoned to the stewards after the race. I think bollockings all round and Lewis will probably get that reprimand. Hope not as it would fuck Monaco completely as a race.

Really intriguing race this, struggling to work out why Vettel pitted when he did after only 8 laps in the middle stint.

Verstappen must be loving this.

From battling to get points to all of a sudden racing to try and get in the Top 3 and even a win

Lessons from that Nico/Lewis Spa incident learnt by Mercs - Not allowing either driver to speak about the incident until after the Stewards decision.

Sensible as both will be furious with what happened and will blame each other. By the time they speak to the Media, as long as the Stewards decision is a simple one, they should both have calmed down a tad.

Lovely battle between Ricciardo and Vettel...Seb just about holds on to 3rd place

and Seb ruins it by moaning like a bitch over the radio.

Verstappen is going to win this!!. Fantastic race for him, stretching out his tyres for 30+ laps and having Kimi always within 1 second of him. 2 laps for him to hold this

Puncture for Ricciardo....shite luck again for him but might still hold 4th place if he can get in and out ahead of Bottas

Max Verstappen wins in his first race at the proper Red Bull team!! Staggering performance from him

Kimi 2nd, Seb 3rd & Ricciardo 4th

and Seb ruins it by moaning like a bitch over the radio.
I kind of agree with him though. Ricciardo came from miles back with a banzai chuck it up the inside and hope for the best move. He was barely was able to slow it down in time and would have hit Vettel if he hadn't swerved out of the way.

Great achievement for Verstappen winning at such a young age. Was it a great drive though? It kind of fell into his lap IMO due to the strategy decisions in both camps. I didn't see him do anything special other than look after his tyres alright, but lots of drivers can do that. Would Kyvat not have been able to do the same given the chance?

I would say an inexperienced driver going 30+ laps with Kimi always within a second of him and putting him under pressure is a great drive. So many drivers in the past, who are not used to being in that position buckle under the pressure and make an error. His race was as close to perfect as possible

Now I've seen the great analysis from Anthony Davidson the more I blame Rosberg. He sees Lewis' move too late and is too aggressive with his defence.

Lewis had much more speed than Nico and has every right to try and overtake. The alternative to going round him would have been he'd have to slam on the brakes because of the speed difference.

And at the point he decides to go for it around the outside there is plenty of room for him. But as soon as Nico realises what he's doing he chops completely across the track and gives Lewis nowhere to go other than off the road.

Completely Rosberg's fault IMO. I hope he gets a penalty for it.

Apparently no penalty for either driver according to Sky Italia
