The F1 Thread

And plenty of others are calling that bollocks. Wait and see what the stewards say after the race.

Niki Lauda talking shite. Rosberg should have left him more room. Lewis had every right to go alongside him given his speed off turn 3.

The signs were there last year, it's pretty obvious you can't have Hamilton and Rosberg on the same team, Hamilton will be fucked off I reckon.

Niki Lauda has said it was Hamiltons fault, and I agree with him.
Lauda comes out with the first thing that pops into his head. My first reaction was its all down to Lewis but the replays tell a massively different story

He is multiple champion. Rosberg isn't. I suspect it will be Rosberg fucked off if anyone.

Rosberg is out of contract this season. He is the easy one to get rid of but if Lewis feels the team are favouring Nico he will depart himself.

Why are people so aggressive on here. Differing opinions should be allowed.

I wasn't aggressive. I pointed out that others disagree with Lauda and it is going to be referred to the stewards after the race, and we sort of have to wait for their decision.

But he is out of contract in November. Hamilton has at least one more year so removing him is much more expensive.

Where would anyone go though? Mercedes are so much quicker than the rest of the field whoever leaves will be basically giving up any chance of winning the title.

Rosberg been offered new one apparently, are Formula 1 contracts anymore meaningful than Football, contracts.

If Hamilton was available Ferrari would bin Kimi in seconds.

Obviously the Mercs are streets ahead and neither would want to leave but Lewis did leave a semi respectable McClaren to join Merc when they were shit.

No contracts in sport are meaningful. If a Merc seat became available 90% of drivers would piss on their current deal and sell their mothers to get that drive.

Aren't there likely to be some significant rule changes next season to try and remove the obvious Merc superiority? Ferrari could be the place to be if that kicks in.

Quite, I wouldn't expect Hamilton and Rosberg to be team mates next year.

It reminds me of Prost and Senna now. Too many more incidents and they are just going to end up hating each other.

I know Prost and Senna made up just before Ayrton's death, but they were a nightmare to manage on the same team.

To be fair this is the first incident between the 2 that put them both out isn't it? You had Nico put Lewis out at Spa a few years years ago and of course the Monaco qualifying trick from Nico.

Their battle has generally been a war of words. Been a couple of close calls on the track but certainly no deliberate attempts to cripple each other.

Be interesting to hear Nico talk today because he has changed his style this season and been a bit respectful of his teammate when asked (anyone would think he is after a new deal) so lets see if that continues.

It's easier to be nicer in interviews with the season he's had up until now! But yeah they've settled down for a while now but they haven't been close enough at any point this year to fight.

Vettel and Hamilton at Ferrari would be very interesting indeed, could see that ending just as badly as with Rosberg though!
