Kvyat had a shocker in the last race but it's ridiculously harsh to bin him off after that.

He wasn't at fault in China for me so he's essentially been sacked off for one big mistake. All drivers will make one at some point in their career but Kvyat now has no opportunity to redeem himself.

Max was being tapped up, so they had to move quick to show they backed him. Also chuck in the fact he has a relationship with his teammate at TR that makes Lewis and Nico look perfect. Kvyat gave them the perfect window to make the move quickly. Not sure how he can motivate himself now at TR, surely he will be offski at the end of the season.

Max comes across as very impatient to get to the top as quickly as possible, he obviously is extremely talented but he hasn't even had so much as a podium yet. Will be very tough at this stage to be competing head to head with Danny R who is an outstanding driver in his own right.

He does but he has immense talent to back himself with. He has had a couple of moments where is youth has stood out but without a doubt he will win a World Title.

Is he that talented? He has done well, but not that amazingly. He's precocious, but you'd expect that as he will have been driving since he could work.

I just hope he's better than his dad.

You have to remember he is only 18 and in his first season he showed a fair few experienced drivers up

Reading between the lines I'd say it was done to stop Verstappen signing for someone like Ferrari. And the Russian incident was just a convenient excuse to demote Kyvat.

Vettel and Kimi lead the way. Around half a second quicker than the Mercs. Looks good but Ferrari did a ton of laps on the quicker soft tyres and the Mercs stayed on the Medium. Red Bull in 5th on Mediums and they were well over a second behind the Mercs.
Should get a clear picture on gap between the Top 4 later when the soft tyres will be on the Mercs.
