Unbelievable!! Lewis out of Q1 as his car sets on fire!!

Got to feel for Lewis now, this is a mad run of bad luck in Qualifying.

Rosberg must be laughing his bollocks off as Budapest is a crap track to try and battle back from the back of the grid

I don't buy into conspiracy theories, it's weird how all the luck tends to go one driver's way in a team though sometimes. Webber always seemed to get the shitty end of things at Red Bull and bar Nico's retirement at Silverstone absolutely everything has gone his way.

Its staggering stuff. Nailed all 3 practise sessions and goes up in flames on his out lap in Q1. Brakes wouldn't work either, so he was sat in a moving fire bomb for about 2 minutes!

His mental state must be shot now.

Ferrari making an absolute bollocks of it again :icon_lol:

Seems like a lot of cars having technical issues here. Parts coming to the end of their natural life at this stage of the season?

More luck for Nico, session red flagged just after he bollocksed up Turn 1.

No grip there at all. He escapes but the McLaren smashes out with a bit of force.

Any bad news for Hamilton is good news to me, never taken to him.

Never understood this need to 'like' sportsmen / women.

If you're English you'll get my support, even more so if you happen to be the most exciting racer since senna

It'll be a good race tomorrow as Lewis will be doing everything he can to get forward, it's just a shame that the championship will be won based on reliability rather than ability.

That's your prerogative.

Certainly is, plenty of people have a wild love or hatred of certain players or teams for differing reasons, i've never been a fan of Hamilton as a person right from when he first got into the sport, so i'll never really want him to do well regardless of his obvious ability, there are just others that i'd prefer to see win.

I've certainly no issue with watching him, he's a damned good driver, especially now he seems to have conquered that bit of hotheadedness he carried earlier in his career but i'm not about to cheer him on just because of where he happens to be born.

I think all of that is absolutely fair enough. I had a ridiculous amount of fanboi love for Senna, despite the fact that he did some pretty naughty stuff in his time. I just loved his charisma. Mansell by comparison was deadly dull for me, no matter his country of birth.

That is why I like Hamilton, he seems to have a fairly similar charisma at times, although not to the same extent. Compared to a cold fish like Vettel that is miles better for me. I have massive admiration for Alonso as a driver, especially seeing what he can do with inferior equipment lately, but I find it hard to take to him.

One thing for certain, Hamilton will find overtaking a lot more difficult than last week. The Hungaroring is notoriously very difficult to overtake on.

Well, at least it will make things interesting again

Hamilton is deadpan. I wouldn't call him charismatic at all. I'd say that Vettel or Alonso have more personality than anyone that you hear regularly from. They've both got a superb sense of humour. They're both miles clear in the brains department from Lewis.

No surprise that Lewis will start from the pit lane due to the rebuild work on his car.
