The F1 Thread

Unreal isn't it. He went off three times in Q1 yesterday FFS.

Even Susie Wolff would do a better job for them. And they could quite easily play on the female driver angle, and pull in lots of sponsorship that way, much like Danica Patrick does in the USA.

And I'm sure she'd come with a discount on Mercedes engines...

Odd. They usually put new ones on for FP3 and leave them on for qualifying after bedding in. Or so they said in comms yesterday.

"The German Grand Prix organisers had a bright idea to try to stimulate slow ticket sales ahead of this race. They offered fans 10 euros off a ticket for every goal Germany scored in their World Cup semi-final against Brazil. One can only imagine how the person who came up with that idea was feeling as those seven goals flooded in that night in Belo Horizonte. Yet the prospect of 70 euros off a ticket has not led to a flood of sales"

Read something yesterday where Lewis said they were new on for Q1

They should have gone to Cardinal Motors in Lord St, I had new discs and pads fitted last month and they've been excellent.

Nice set of ceramic four pot Brembos were they?

Herbert and Hill showing that Brundle makes the grid walks look easy. Pair of muppets!

Is it usual for teams to change their brake discs after qualifying?

No. They are not allowed to do so and if they do they have to start in the Pit Lane unless they can prove the reason for the change is for safety reason's. Merc have obviously managed to persuade the FIA that is the case today.

Thank you, but apparently other teams feel that Mercedes have had regulations relaxed for them.

Magnussen's fault there on first view.

No chance. What is Kevin supposed to be doing to avoid that? Just a very unlucky incident.

Just a racing incident on second view. Not sure either could have prevented it. Thought at first Magnussen had turned right into him but he just held the line.

Well done Pastor on not driving into Lewis. Now get off the track.

Great stuff so far.

A bit of rain on the screens now too!

I know he's out on his own but odd that the German director hasn't shown barely a single shot of Rosberg in the lead other than his pitstop.
