I never realised that Davina McCall was supposedly seeing Roland Ratzenberger around the time of his death. She worked for MTV who sponsored Simtek and was the reporter in the pitlane for them. She had to go round and ask drivers what music video they wanted playing!

There was a discussion on the radio this morning about Senna's death, and at the end there was a brief mention of Ratzenberger. That disappointed me.

Happened on the stretch of motorway I use to get to work, wondered why it was shut this morning, very sad. Second time in a few weeks someone has died that way on the same part of the motorway although I heard rumours the first one was a suicide. Use the passenger side door people.

He's bringing a shedload of money to Fake Lotus, who are then being forced to throw most of it at new parts. I didn't think even he was stupid enough to not back off when the thing is just obviously heading straight for an accident for the previous two corners.

Immense schadenfreude going on for Vettel this season.

Seems to be a reverse of when Webber was at the team who seemed to attract all the problems. Now Vettel is suffering it opposite another Aussie.

Great Q3 from Hamilton. Looked set for being behind Rosberg after the 1st 2 sessions but nailed that.

Edit - and the brawn was arguably at least as dominant when it launched. Same goes for Ferrari and Ref Bull at times too

What, more boring than the second half of last season when Vettel just had to turn up to win? At least this time there's two drivers going full at it.

I won't disagree with the "hideous", but they most certainly do not sound "pathetic". So, you don't get your ears bleeding. So what? You didn't back in the days of the Cosworth DFV. You didn't in the first "turbo era" either.

Its the most dominant car I've seen in my lifetime.

I assume you don't remember the McLaren MP4/4 then. Or the Williams FW14B. Or the Williams FW15. Or the Ferrari F2004 or F2002. Or even last year's Red Bull. The current Mercedes is dominant, yes, but these things come around regularly in F1, such as the Lotus 79, 72 and 25, the Mercedes W196, the Alfa 158 and 159 or even the pre-war Mercedes W125.

It is dominant. However, and this is in common with the MP4/4, you have two cars racing. Red Bull certainly weren't allowing that last season. Hamilton v Rosberg has the potential to be as much fun as Senna and Prost duking it out.

While Rosberg and Hamilton are both fighting it out it does keep it exciting as does the fact there is very little between the next few teams. Really pleased Ricciardo is doing so well, not sure if it shows webber to be poor or Vettel to be struggling with the new regulations but nice to see him humbled a bit (and get some bad luck for a change)

A shame Vettel has a 5 place grid penalty. This year is turning out to be a real test of character for him!

Six laps gone and Hamilton and Rosberg are already 9 seconds ahead of the rest of the field.
