The F1 Thread

Another procession for Mercedes. All very mundane.

Didn't see many camplaints for the last three years when Vettel and Red Bull were dominant. I'd rather see Hammilton and Rosberg taking turns to win by racing each other than Vettel crying if his team mate raced him

Apart from the race for 2nd and 3rd between Mercedes and Red Bull and the Battle for 5th/6th/7th between Force India and McLaren. Not everything thats good happens in 1st place, Marussia get their first ever F1 points apart from that it was very mundane (although the build up was good). Monaco is really a race for the drivers though, rather than the TV audience. One mistake and you are out (or on Pole....) and they have to push their driving, especially in judging some corners (hence a couple of the crash outs today). They have to look for the gaps, I think it was Sutil who made a couple of great moves today.

It "might" have been more dramatic for 1st if Hamilton hadn't got an eye full of dirt 15 laps from the end which allowed Rosberg to pull away.

? There were loads of complaints when Vettel was doing it.

I want Hamilton to win the championship but would rather it was more competitive for the race wins. When there were 7 winners in the first 7 races at the start of the 2012 season it was quality.

I always find it amusing how much Toto Wolff sounds like Arnold Schwarzenegger!

Rosberg got the beating of Hamilton again today, that will worry Lewis as he's pretty much untouchable at Montreal normally.

Weird isn't it? Makes it very interesting got the rest of the pack, Massa might well win this

Will Rosberg's brakes hold out now?

Hamilton is out, Rosberg is limping along, and Massa has had to pit. At long last an interesting race.

Rosberg seems alright again now, Perez can't do anything about getting past him

What a move by Riccardo. This has been the most interesting race of the season by some distance.

Dramatic ending as Massa wipes out Perez on the final lap, fantastic drive from Ricciardo to get his first win and Rosberg did very well to keep the car going let alone finish 2nd still
