The Definitive TWF Worst Wolves XI Thread

He'd looked good for QPR and Blackpool. I was pleased when we signed him.

The reality was that he was totally gone and paired with that $#@!house it was the perfect storm for our relegation. Of course any other manager would have dropped one (or preferably both) of them after it was obvious they couldn't play together.

If we'd played Batth and Berra together it would have been incredibly cumbersome but we probably wouldn't have gone down.

Could Gorkss and Berra have worked?

Maybe. It took a special effort to relegate us. Almost as if you had some cretin picking the worst possible combination of players at times with no tactics and no formation. You'd struggle to do a worse job if you tried. Gorkss was shit in his own right for us though. Turned like an ice cream van. With a wheel missing.

The whole memory of that four months makes me come out in hives. Never before did I have cause to boycott my own club and never do I want to do it again.

Guess where my manager vote is going.

I reckon that will be a landslide. Saunders is THE worst manager EVER!

Wasn't there a game where Johnson was suspended/injured so Batth came in and did well, and then Saunders bottled the decision to leave Johnson out of the next game so played the 3 at the back. We lost and Batth dropped out next game so Johnson was back in with Gorkss?

Gyepes hasn't got a single vote yet and he was wank. Wasn't even that long ago either. That's the level of competition. I do have sympathy for how he ended up after Hoddle forced him to carry on playing after his knee exploded (perhaps he had all summer to get over it) but before that he was authentically terrible.
Avoids votes for that stunning free kick effort....to have the confidence to step up and fire direct into the top corner of the South Bank deserves rewarding.

Out of curiosity, do you think Gorkss was really that bad, or that he was done a massive disservice by being paired with Beer Boy Rog?

I remember us being relatively pleased with the idea of him.
Ironically Johnson and Gorkss both hand blinders in the midweek win at Millwall.

Thetis
Coleman

Johnson
Hindmarch
Bassong
Peacock
Blades

Apart from being shit most of them came across as right wankers to boot

When I think of dome of the managers we had in the dark days, I am not sure Saunders will get into my top three, though I have a while yet before making my final decision.

There were several but the players and owners were awful at the time so they get a little excuse. Can't make a silk purse from a sows ear

Gorkss - I don't agree with any argument that rojo made him look bad. He turned like a tectonic plate and had the same first touch
Johnson - shoe in.
Bassong - not much between him and rojo tbh, just less drunk.
Peacock - mainly for his hair as well as lack of ability.
Mancienne - more lightweight than a carrier bag.
Eric Young - basically just a headband on legs

Johnson
Gorkks
Bassong
EEL
Bjorklund
Okoronkwo
