My first game in the flesh was August '80, so although I saw the League Cup winning side I'm going to discount them as firstly most were over the hill by then and secondly I was only 7 so difficult to really judge them:

8 or 9 years ago just as Henners was breaking through I was having a conversation with a bloke who is a goalkeeper coach for LOI clubs and he mentioned how good we were at producing keepers and I suppose for a 25 year period mid 80's till 2010 we did very well in developing keepers. Has gone to fuck since then mind.
