If Mo is at 3 there is literally no point in not replacing Bairstow

Got to wonder with Jonny when support for your mate becomes counter-productive and starts piling on unnecessary pressure. Obviously I don't know, but in addition to making the team stronger it seems it would be kinder to take him out of the firing line for now, even if just taking the gloves off him. Whatever, they were always picking this team anyway and I can't wait for the match. Just hope the weather holds off.

Brook 1
Root 57
Stokes 197
Moeen 200
Woakes 136
Wood 97
Broad 598
Anderson 688

1,974 Test wickets. Can't be too many Test XIs ever fielded to have more than that?

Doesn’t seem right that England win 2 of the three formats outright but the Aussies retain the trophy

I’m not sure how you do it otherwise frankly as a complete multi match womens test series seems still a way off.

But they don't have front load the points so that whoever wins the 1 test match pretty much win the series. 3 points for the test, 1 for each T20 and 50 over game would be easy enough

We've won the toss (again!) and have chosen to bowl.

None - 200 more than any other team and beats the record set by England in this years first test at Edgbaston.

599 up for Broad

Jimmy getting much better shape than at any stage of the first two games too

Bairstow dropped another... but did it touch the bat?
Anyway he grounded it.
Then he caught one!
2nd wicket!

Chucked some inconsistent rubbish down this morning. Woakes being the exception.

With Mo's bowling in that first over it wouldn't be tough to look good

England have done well to get 2 Wickets considering how inconsistent the bowling has been.

We would have lost the series 5-4, rather than a tie, with that format. 3 for the test and 2 for the one dayers would be the way for me
