The CHRISTMAS Thread

Further to seeing a fully lit & decorated tree 2 weeks ago, just seen a house fully decorated & covered in lights.

Ooh it’s a new flavour profile with a couple of slightly different drops of flavouring and a shiny package to draw people in to parting with money. Most specials are a load of marketing bollocks.

As for bovril flavour. In the bin. Buy a pack of twiglets instead.

What an excellent way to empty extra coins from the wallet for a pack of fucking crisps. Only a complete mug would even consider it.

Today we had the first day of this year selling Strong Point at a Christmas Market, with Christmas music playing, tree and decorations up, the whole works. Didn't feel right. On the plus side we had probably our best single day of trading we've had. So, Yay Christmas in October...

I dont miss having to put a Christmas tree up in August/September to drive Christmas bookings in the pubs. If I had a pound for every person who said "that's early" I'd be retired by now

When I worked for Beefeater nearly thirty years ago the “ask me about booking for Christmas” badges were broken out on August Bank holiday weekend. Every year I managed to lose mine within about a day. Strange that.

You are just glad they don't do a Big Book on Crisp eating....

Walkers have brought out their range including a Christmas pudding flavour crisp. Bought a multi pack in aldi just as Mrs jelly wouldn't forgive me if I didn't.
