The CHRISTMAS Thread

A Christmas day trip to the beach is weird but cool. Granted, it wasn't summer in Florida, but it was still ~20C out!
In Oz some families will spend the whole day on or near the beach. If you pitch up early enough you can claim the insitu gas barbies which have a shade or (so long as there's no fire restrictions) take your own complete with your demountable gazebo, table and chairs.

We went for an early morning swim Christmas day just gone and there were plenty of folks setting up ready for the day.

I think we are staying in Toowoomba. There was talk of heading to Noosa but I think we are going to be inland this year

When I was over a few years back my daughter's BIL and his partner went to Noosa for a week hols in the summer. It was when two cyclones hit the QLD coastline at the same time. Pretty scary stuff.

They saw on the news reports that the two weather fronts were heading in. Most touros had the same idea to make a dash back home early. All flights were sold out, so they hired a car and drove back to CC, NSW!!

Noosa is normally cyclone free. More by luck than judgement. Amazing north facing beach on the heads. Property prices there are utterly insane.

Haven’t touched a single mince pie or anything like it yet (it’s been 20°C+ the last few days FFS) but Christmas shopping is almost done. I’ll be finished before November. Get the fuck in.

How can you eat mince pies before Michael Myers has been on? Weird.

People are eating Creme Eggs from January, so I have no regrets

Good God no. Why ruin a perfectly good crisp making it taste of anything to do with a Turkey?
