The CHRISTMAS Thread

Bit like most lobster then.

Had the Pret Christmas baguette yesterday, was very good! Bit too much stuffing for my liking though.

I told you!!!!

I've even altered the route I take into Bristol so I can stop at the top of Park St and get one.

We’ve got a pret on the ground floor of our Birmingham office, I’m going to be sick of them by the time Christmas comes around.

Had one of those Sainsburys ham hock 'market' sandwiches.
Truly epic...

I've been frequenting the Colmore Row Pret over the last few weeks...

Sprout crisps, tried a few, not sure what to make of them tbh. Yet to try the cheese and cranberry, even saying it doesn't sound right though.

I saw a few seconds of this advert up New Cross today (so no sound on the telly) and thought there was going to be an E.T. 2.

That advert is fucking brilliant. Brings back a lot of memories.

I cannot believe Henry Thomas is even older than me!!

It was Verizon's ad. which Sky have paid them for. The full version of 4 minutes + is on YouTube. Have to admit I got a bit of dust in my eye

I watched the whole thing and it is definitely a tear jerker for those of us who were there when ET first hit the screens. I think they should have got Drew Barrymore to bring some munchies round for the Christmas table. Can't believe Gertie would have fallen out with Elliott.

I'm being "encouraged" to get in the loft to get decorations, tree etc down.
Usually, I get them down, and beg darlo for a ticket to get me out the house for a weekend for my own safety!
I wasn't able to get them down this weekend. The good lady's dis-satisfaction was repeated this morning. I promised if she does some groundwork (ie moves a shed load of other stuff) I'll get it all down first thing tonight when I get home.

I better had do, she's a proper angel, and to be fair, also makes the house look lovely (though it does have to be "just so" - hence I disappear when she's decorating).

Think it's a 'woman's ' thing that all decorations have to be ' just so '. I always ask hubby if he's going to help decorate the tree ' why, you'll only take mine off and 're position them if I do!'

2 wine Advent Calendars for me,a beer one for hubby, cheese one for all of us,Thorntons one for me mom and an Advent for the cats.

Loving the cheese one.

Definitely this! She'd love me to help, but I'd get it wrong, and we'd argue.
Best to avoid this.
She's even got up at 4am to move furniture cos she didn't like how things were.

I put the tree in the right place and that's where my involvement ends.

Bloody Shaun Keaveney on 6 music has just whamageddon'd me already.

Zoe Ball was playing loads of Xmas shit this morning bit luckily not Wham.

If they stated that they did it on purpose to Whamageddon people then it doesn't count, apparently.

I was listening to Classic FM earlier (it's my jam) and they were playing some lovely Xmas tunes.
