Might need to clear those cookies then...
That's what I thought. It would be a nightmare if I lost all that info.
Have you considered a password manager? There are various ones out there which are essentially all encrypted vaults for your passwords, meaning that you don't have to save them as cookies/cache in your browser, which is a lot more insecure. You only need one master password to access your vault and you can then launch all your sites from there. It will also generate and save random passwords on request.
I use www.lastpass.com which is free and about GBP 6 or 7 for an annual premium account where you can sync with all your phones/tablets etc.
Well I don't have any boot media for Windows 8, which is integral to step 1 so that's not a great start.
There doesn't seem to be anything in there for problems creating this boot media so again I'm out it luck there.
The most relevant thing I could find was trying to dig out my original product key to validate the Enterprise edition I've currently installed but once again, that failed. The key finder script that it suggested failed to find my product key, just told it doesn't work with Enterprise edition.
You obviously know the problem better than me so I may as well just admit I'm doing it wrong eh?

Install Start8, it costs $4.99 I think and puts the classic Start menu back. I hated 8 until I installed this then I thought it was quite good.

There are masses of 8 tips and tutorials here which you might find useful.
The link in Step 1 shows you how to create it.
Step 1 tells you to install from boot media, nothing to do with creating it to begin with so that doesn't work for me.
See above.
Again, step 1 offers nothing more than 'boot your computer from CD/Flash drive' I don't have and can't create either of these.
The most relevant thing is all of it. Your key won't work with an Enterprise edition as the tutorial explains before that step. Read it all until you understand it and it will have you up and running.
Step 4 is the first time i get to anything i can actually attempt to do using the Windows 8 installer i downloaded but then i throw in the generic key that it offers and it tells me it can't connect and to check my internet connection, which is obviously fine as i'm on here.
If you can't be arsed to read the whole thing and understand it instead of jumping in and trying to activate the wrong version with a different key then yeah, you're doing it wrong.
The rest is completely worthless to me at this point as it offers no solution to the part that isn't going as it says it should.

Where's the link for that on the first tutorial? I didn't see any mention of 'creating' anything anywhere, just looked like words had been hotlinked in some of the sentences. I'm not about to go through clicking on every link in there in the hope of some help, would help if they were labelled more accurately.Oh look Mark, I clicked on the link in step one http://www.eightforums.com/tutorials/2227-create-bootable-usb-dvd-windows-8-iso.html
No wonder it's not working for you if you don't bother clicking the links.
