Summer 2022 Transfer Window

It's pretty difficult to do I think, unless you've got somebody dynamic and versatile, and able to influence games in a midfield 2 or 3, somebody like Ben Bender would be ideal
It feels like it was something that happened regularly in the 90s and 00s, but over the last 10 years or so it feels like teams very much have a formation that they rarely sway from.

The Ben Bender Fanclub is ready and waiting for y'all. 😂

Would this Bender bloke pass the no dickheads policy? Every time I watched him he was smoking a cigar, drinking and saying "kiss my shiny metal ass", I'm thinking of the wrong one aren't I ?
Sounds a bit like Bender from Futurama.

Although he said "Bite my shiny metal ass", so probably a different one you're thinking of....

Games changed since then, the 352/343 is very, very different nowadays to what it was 20 years ago. Goes in cycles, like the flat 442 is non existent nowadays

Rarely I guess. I guess the flexibility has to come from the players and playing the formation in different ways.

Have mentioned this before on here but Italy doing that when De Rossi was there and they would occasionally drop him into the middle CB of a three, however De Rossi was a supremely versatile player and for me potentially the most under rated player of his generation, at least globally, not in Italy.

I have used him as an example to friends when I tried to explain Cody's role to them.

Kessie to Barca on a free

At one and the same time this should

a) Enable this one to be filed along with Wallace and Talisca
b) Knock talk of Ruben going there on the head (they cannot afford to buy him, they are going for frees and maybe 1 big purchase)
c) Possibly free up Puig to move, if there really is anything concrete there

Just going to casually mention that Ben Bender got a goal and assist last night... ;)
