Summer 2022 Transfer Window

Barca have had a try before they buy with Traore just as we have with Trincao. So long as the latter is valued at £10m less than the former a deal could be struck. At least at that price we could shift Trincao on without a loss or flip him Afobe-style. If not just sell Traore to the highest bidder in the summer and send Trincao back unless the Leeds game proves to be a real turning point, which given what I've seen previously I'm very doubtful of.

Putting aside my supposed narrative (eye rolling internet thing) I’d like to think there is still appetite at Barca to get Adama in, and, not least as I like him, I hope it happens. He has only started 1 in 5 in La Liga (sorry) and it’s fairly clear he’s not in their best 11, more really, so spending big on an impact sub does seem rather unlikely I’m afraid. That said, he’s still generating lots of positive comments from media and fans (based on what my friends say), but I guess that has ever been thus. I’m at the Levante game in a couple of weeks, so hope I’m watching him and he’s getting on the score sheet.

Could still be a replacement for Dembele if he doesn't sign a new deal I guess?

Meh, someone else would buy him.

Either way I'm pretty sure we'll never see him again.

I doubt very much the loan was free, unless we’ve totally had our pants pulled down. I thought their was no chance the deal wouldn’t be permanent though…

Id wager we’d be on more points at the end of the season if he was here than not. So a combination of poorer points/postion accompanied by likely loss of income is a total shocker regardless of what you think of him as a player.

I would imagine the deal was a certainty up to the point we started to leak that we didn't want to keep Trincao

Well being held to ransom like that is basically having your pants down. Better hope Trincao tears is up in these last few months then!

Another casualty of the sending off. Would have been good to see if it was the start of a new dawn or a mad 20 minutes

Yes, there isn’t an easier fixture in the league to excel in as a forward player than Leeds at home.

Can only play what’s infront of you, but when Leeds commit men all over the park it was going to allow him space.

I don’t think there’s any doubt he has technical ability, which should shine against a team like Leeds.

Sometimes it takes one good game in order for a player to get on a run. Hopefully that’s the case for him. Obviously will do his confidence the world of good. It’s a case of seeing how he develops over the next few weeks. He’s set a bar, so to speak

He is certainly a more saleable asset having scored goals/got assists at Barca than he would have been not scoring goals/getting assists at Wolves.

Barca trying to sign Raphinha from Leeds according to Fabrizio Romano. Got to consider the Adama deal dead now.
