Im hoping we finally get to give Jordao and Meritan Shabani a go in pre season.
Hopefully they'll both be fit enough for long enough for us to!Im hoping we finally get to give Jordao and Meritan Shabani a go in pre season.
His analysis didn't include the Euro bonuses so I'm not sure how accurate it was.I mean our wage turnover was high in the Swiss Ramble report wasn't it, higher than West Ham for example. So I can see the theory potentially behind some sort of strategy on that.
Some of the thinking on analytics is that wage spending is actually a better indicator of league finishing positon than transfer spending. I get that might seem simple but you do get lots of clubs (Sunderland I can think of in the prem) would spend a lot on fees but have the wrong players from it due to keeping an eye on wages.
This the thing. They'd have to get it spot on and with the transfer business in the last couple of season I don't blame anyone who has doubts about that.We already did it replacing Rui with Sa. It has more or less worked out (your mileage on this will vary, and indeed varies quite a lot amongst users of this forum) in that instance - here or there is not necessarily a bad thing.
Doing it to like half the team is a bit riskier. Not that it can't be done, but it would be a hell of a thing to pull off.
I guess hypothetically replacing Marcal with Giles would be another one upcoming.
I don't think either are good enough unfortunately.Im hoping we finally get to give Jordao and Meritan Shabani a go in pre season.
More likely we'll just give Gibbs-White a chance IMO. Hwang, Podence, Neto, Gibbs-White & Chiquinho as inside forwards, Raúl, Fábio and a big lump central.Yeah, saw that yesterday. At 130k a week, they are welcome to him I'm afraid.
If we're not looking at Trincao long term, then does this lend more credence to the rafa Silva speculation I wonder?
Totally agree, i feel some of us have a bit of an inferiority complex regarding Neves and Wolves. He's adored, the main man and will likely be our biggest earner, he is playing on the biggest domestic stage in the world and starts every week.Nope.
He isn't going to base his next move on whether Wolves are in the UEFA Europa Conference League or not. Either he thinks his time here is up (after five brilliant years, which is longer than anyone thought he'd stay) and he needs a bigger stage, or he's happy enough here, settled, very much the star player, and he stays.
Both Madrids, Barca, both Manchester clubs, Chelsea, Liverpool, PSG, Juventus, Inter, Milan, Napoli, Bayern, Dortmund are all clubs that Neves would move to in a heartbeat.Totally agree, i feel some of us have a bit of an inferiority complex regarding Neves and Wolves. There are not many clubs he could move to where his profile would be higher, and where he would be absolutely guaranteed that he'd start every week.
Look at Grealish, would he prefer to be back at Villa and idolised? Probably.
