Good piece on the squad analysis. Confirming some thoughts we already had with the eye test.

Can’t really comment on the target appraisals as I’ve seen very few of them play. But from some of the positions such as CB and potentially CM we are starting from such a low base then it would be difficult for any of them to not be a massive improvement even if they don’t have top 6 potential.

To be fair I thought the analysis piece was pretty close to how I see things and a good read. I get that much of it is based on opinions, but isn't all scouting/recruitment?
As regards the targets, I'm not aware of many of them but at least there was detail, pro's and con's and a considered verdict - not just "he's shit or he's immense".

I enjoyed the read but fully expect our recruitment team to have a completely different view as to what's required! Recent history certainly suggests so.

He's not a bad player, but he's overly agressive. That serves him in Portugal, as he has been quite protected and doesn't get enough bookings. But outside this may not work very well. It's a matter of how well can he adapt. He was instrumental in their title run in 20/21.

I don't want to say much more, as i. I terribly biased.

He's a nice one I think, if we manage to get him for around 15/20M€.
