Summer 2022 Transfer Window

The back up plan is Andy Carroll ffs. At least there is a back up plan, but not much of one...

Whoever has had the idea of Andy Carroll should be sacked immediately. Wtf. We are looking very very desperate at the moment.

It's shit that Sasa got injured but with the break for the world cup there is only 10 game rounds until January so havin Raul plus a makeshift option until then isnt the end kf the workd. Why do we seem hell bent on signing any old cunt?

It's 10 plus Boxing Day, New Year's Eve and 2nd January.

Third of a season.

We've won one game so far and you could argue that was fortunate as Southampton messed up an open goal from less than one yard out.

I think Raul must be proper broken in someway for us to be this desperate.

I very much doubt some of the names we are being linked with (specifically Andy Carroll) are going to help in this respect. The guy is a crap player and a bellend in general.

Chem is a wide player, not really suited to a central role. Fraser is a brick shit house who would at least have a chance of holding the ball up
I get that. It's more that even Doris the tea lady is preferable to me..

Oh, I don't want Andy Carroll. He was done (and was only ever of limited use) at least five years ago.

We do need someone though. There are obvious question marks over Raul - how could he not even sit on the bench on Saturday - and I never want to see Guedes or Podence up front again as they can't do it.

I can see the idea of signing Costa, I'm not convinced it will work out but I can see the reasoning behind it as if you can get 60 percent of the player he was back he will add something. If it doesn't work out or he doesn't get a work permit though I'd rather we not trawl the free agent market and just go for anyone, I doubt there are many strikers without a club at this point that would be any value at all.

Yeah, obviously Raul's apparent injury and mental state has made us desperate for a striker right now. Andy Carroll though, shudder...

We don’t need Andy Carroll FFS.

If we can’t get Costa then we still have Raul, Neto, Podence, Hwang, Guedes, Traore & Campbell as options for the front 3. Having no replacement for Raul isn’t ideal but surely we’re not that desperate?

People in this very forum have spent the past how many months moaning we need a striker for how Bruno plays, now suddenly we don't. Which is it?
