Summer 2022 Transfer Window

On the balance of what we saw vs what I saw of him before and his potential probably not but it's a tough one. I think he's not really suited to the English game but more importantly, our style of play. I could easily see someone like PSG picking him up for big money if he has a good year in Portugal as I expect he will.
There's no doubt that 20 mins against Leeds and 20 mins against Chelsea showed there's a player in there. Elements in other games too, but I've not seen a player bottle challenges like he does since probably Rohan Ricketts. I can't have that, but accept I might be a bit of a footballing luddite. For as shit as Hwang is I'd rather have him trying like the League 1 player he is than someone like Trincao

He's a bottling, no product, no pace shitebag. Wouldn't have taken him for £5m.
Agreed.

While there’s no doubt he has sone natural talent, we are well stacked with “flair players” that turn up one game in four.

Podence, Traore and Trincao are all similar in that they can all do it……..just not very often. And, when they don’t, they literally do nothing.

Ok at a club where you’ve got ten other players carrying them - not at ours, unfortunately.

Everton the latest club linked to Gibbs-White.

Alex Crook is reporting it too. Says MGW stalling on a new deal. I don't really know how reliable he is but he seems to talk about us a fair bit (works for talksport so maybe there's my answer)

Who was it that reported that we've offered him a new deal? If we actually have and he hasn't signed it yet...

It's a likely assumption that if we don't particularly want to sell we may well have offered him a new contract. It's also a logical assumption that MGW would tell us to sod off until he knows he's likely to feature on a regular basis.

We’re probably low balling him with the offer as well tbf. I think he’ll go - won’t be seen as weakening the squad as he wasn’t here last season.

Feels like Neto and Neves or bust in terms of staying up

The Hamburger Post (followed by our very own DW), has confirmed our interest in Mario Vuskovic and said we've been in touch with his agent for a 10m euro move.

I've never personally heard of him but that link didn't go down very well on here last week.

Their fans don't seem happy at all at the prospect of him leaving. No first hand opinion again though. Never heard of him.

On a positive note he's a centre half!!!!!
Less positively an inexperienced one at a lower level and looks like it would be the intention of playing 3 at the bloody back still

If MGW wants game time, he’s certainly gonna get more of it with us than with Everton.

This is certainly a lot more positive than the initial few comments on here when the link surfaced last week.
