Summer 2021 transfer window

This. We'd be the same had we sold Traore or Neves, it would kick off a flurry of activity - except we'd be moaning we'd just lost one of those two, just as they are Grealish.

They're doing good bits but don't underestimate what a huge loss Grealish is to them.
How did they perform last season and the season before when Grealish was out? Have a feeling they didn’t do very well without him.

They've bought really good players to replace him. All top level players and the sum of their parts may make them stronger.

People asking how they did without Grealish spectacularly miss this point.

They are good players.

Smith is the biggest question of all, Villa have never really had a style under him other than "give it to Grealish" (which is why they had relegation form whenever he was missing). None of these players are in that kind of category, he needs to come up with something a bit more overarching.

I just hope we manage to make a couple more signings, were still desperate for a central defender in my opinion.

I know there is still time here - I mean the window doesn't close for a few weeks yet - a week to go though until kick off and we have signed a keeper to replace the one we sold, made a loan permanent and signed a developmental project CB (who may or may not be ready to play in the league) and Trincao who should be able to contribute.

That's really only one player that improves last seasons match day squad with a week until kick off. I hope we have some things imminent otherwise its underwhelming.

Nah, they've left space for the imminent South African superstar signing that has inspired the green and gold training top...

Apparently sky have linked us with Okay Yokuslu

He looked alright for Albion but very much unconvinced that he's what we need.

Yokuslu is ok(ay) at what he does. Just a very basic DM, was hoping for something a bit more exciting.

Taylor Perry on loan to Cheltenham for the season.

10am this morning you were moaning there wasn't enough signings, now you want exciting ones, you're a hard man to please you aren't ya ?? :)

Assuming OO(!) is leaving, we now have Mout, Neves and Donk available as senior CMs and that's it! Wow. Most Sunday league teams have more midfield options.

(Although I guess Coady and Saiss too)

A central midfielder MUST be imminent.
