I don’t think the Board have lied to Bruno or chucked him under the bus they’ve just failed on a lot of target transfers.

It feels like this failure seems to happen repeatedly though and they don’t seem to be learning.

We got into Europe the very first season after promotion. Which meant we came under UEFAs FFP jurisdiction, and our final Championship season with its losses made us fall foul of it. Basically we were punished for over achieving too quickly.

Well if that’s that then it’s just not good enough. Still no recognised centre back and we’ve got 3 central midfielders, including one who isn’t what he was and one who has been bang out of form for over a year.

I think Bruno can still do a good job but it still doesn’t excuse the lack of thought in our recruitment and the lack of backing they’ve given him.

Unfortunately no questions will be asked like they should be and fans like us will continue to go to every game so they think everything is fine, well that’s if we start winning games. If we don’t that’s when it will become toxic.

I can't be arsed to find my post, but at least half of it was right. Hanging on to Neves and Traore was important, and even in this shitshow we managed to do that. The CB and CM i was sure we were getting.... Ok, i fucked up on that.

What will happen is now WWFC will be telling us that we had a good window, with 4 incomings. There will nothing apart from the std Moxey style quote "we tried, but we couldn't get it over the line due to locusts, earthquake, tux didn't come back from the cleaners, i didn't have the taxi fare etc...

Yep if that's really it then it's an absolute failure of a window. CM and CH both needed upgrading this time last year. We got the money in for Otasawie and Mir, we've sent MGW out on loan.. and we've not got any more bodies in where we need them. Struggle to see how the club tries to talk their way out of this in light of all of Bruno's recent comments.
