1. Nuno- Had done exactly what Valencia and Porto fans said he would and did not appear to be able to cure the problems with either the quality of football or the system. It was a ground out 1-0 win or nothing.
2. Rui Patricio- Finished pretty much bottom of the metrics for goalkeepers in the premier league last season with nearly 4 goals conceded more than expected. Last year of his contract and 33 years old. 12m is a good fee .
3. Neves- Young and ambitious and has given us 4 years. Deserves to play in the top echelon .40m plus fee incoming.
4. Divides the forum completely- on a good day he is a world beater on a bad one well he is a liability. Again , a decent fee of 40m likely.

So we will have changed managers , changed style , bought players more suited to fit that style and made significant money to invest in other players like Bolla and Mosquera. We may also find we add Guedes to the squad for Mir plus a few million we made on the GK deals (I am certain he will come and have been for ages). We will sign RAN and ship off Vinagre (upgrade imho). We probably wont be done even then. Crikey, what does it take to excite you? Its mid July and I cant wait to see the new look and new players.

I'd agree with much of this which is my heart talking. My head tells me it might be wise to watch from behind the sofa!

Swopping Rui for Sa given the prices quoted (& Sa will be on less per week which releases funds) is OK. Only seen the highlight reel on Sa & that only shows the saves & not any cock ups.

Podence is not integral to us - done some good things, but can go missing + periods on the treatment table. Neto is/was more important & no one is going for him until he proves his fitness after injury. Has an additional incentive to stay seeing as how his best friend (Trincao) has now rocked up.

Is it hell! Unless Sa is a Sunday league keeper then it’s decent business given Patricio decline in the last 18 months , the fact his contract runs out next year and he is 33. Unless you can categorically state Sa is Andrew Lonergan I am not having it. Sorry mate.

Yup seems piss poor on the face of it. People were writing Llores off for a while and then he has rebounded and only a year older. I swear Rui's decline gets worse every couple of hours recently on here. 33 is nothing in keeping terms and getting such poor value for a still international keeper going to a higher profile team isn't something I can see positives in. We shouldn't be that desperate for such a paltry sum for most prem teams.
