But what attributes does he possess that had the big boys sniffing around? The Brexit rule change meant that was the only window to get him. The really big boys were sniffing around. We went big to blow them off the hand. We will only know if it was a good gamble in hindsight.
For someone who 'specialises in getting crosses in to an excellent finisher' - he doesn't do it often enough, outside of a 3 month purple patch around Xmas 2019
If you can see it you see it, if you can't then you can't.But what attributes does he possess that had the big boys sniffing around?
I want the kid to make a go of it I really do. But he needs to throw us a bone at some point surely?

We’re stuck with him and really have to hope it pays off.His positioning and movement are excellent. I don’t think that can be taught. The rest will improve as he grows.
If we were to fuck him off and then he became a world beater elsewhere the wailing and gnashing of teeth on here about the club should have given him more time will be utterly predictable.
Interesting that integrating Adama is acceptable to some fans, but no way they could afford that luxury to Fabio.Pretty obvious really, as is his entire narrative at Wolves so far.
First season he was being slowly integrated into the team. He didn't play a single 90 mins in the PL, only started 8 times and had an average of 30 mins a game. Scored 1, assisted 1, nothing special.
Second season he did very well.
This season he's struggled, like most of our players.
Anyone who doesn't like him, fine. He's not gonna be to all tastes. Just say you don't think he brings enough.
Stats either matter or they don't. To ignore or downplay last season and try and combine 2018/19 with this shit sandwich of a season reeks of bias and pure agenda.
Unfortunately for those with such an agenda, Nuno (in whom we trust, of course) keeps picking him anyway.
Fair enough. I suppose when we signed an 18 year old for a club record fee I was expecting to see more than just a decent bit of movement. That’s my problem to deal with though. If you can see it you see it, if you can't then you can't.
I'll try to explain, for me, he has the thing you can't teach which is knowing where to be at the right time. He's a kid for sure, and that's holding him back. Wherever he ends up, I think he's going to score bucket loads.
If you can see it you see it, if you can't then you can't.
You know, Neto, Adama, FabioooooooFabio Silva. He's, quite literally, magic

I havent downplayed his contributions last season, at times he was superb and contributed to victories. It's just that isnt regularly enough.
That's fair, and it's just my view of course.Fair enough. I suppose when we signed an 18 year old for a club record fee I was expecting to see more than just a decent bit of movement. That’s my problem to deal with though.
Well it isn’t for me. I support a provincial club that doesn’t have a bottomless pit of resources. I imagine his weekly wage is considerably higher than your average U21 player too? That's fair, and it's just my view of course.
Rightly or wrongly I try to take the transfer fee out of the equation when evaluating a player, because it doesn't affect their performance or ability.
Evaluating the value of a transfer is a separate conversation, for me anyway.
I said "a 3 month purple patch around Xmas 2019"even going so far as to make up some mythical Christmas 'purple patch'
