Summer 2021 transfer window

Neto or Raul shirley... Or Ruddy for shits and giggles.

Yeah, it's Fabio at 3.6.

Neves second on 3.5 courtesy mostly from 2 pens.

Gotta admit I was surprised at Fabio
I am not. He’s scored two and should have had 6 or 7. He would have been forgiven his lack of strength and pace and a bit of play acting if he had scored the 4 or 5 presentable chances he has had all in and around the six yard area too.

Fabio pretty much misses a sitter every game, including last night. No surprise his xG is so high, nor that his actual scored is so shit.

His xG is 3.6 so he's about a Kasper's boot and villa post away from over performing.

Anyway, the figures show he's getting in the right places, but to be top of xG after playing half the games some of the rest of the team have played suggests he gets into the right places more than anyone else in the team, and also suggests there is something to work with.

I guess others will see it differently but such is life.

He doesn't have assists because we can't score for shit! If we could Neto and Traore would be right up there in the assists stats. Neto particularly. It's no wonder Neto always turns away in disgust after someone spunks another golden chance in the box. He may as well lob it into the vegetable section of Asda...
That's much more Hoever and Traore's style!

I thought this was interesting in the athletic

Pedro Neto and Adama Traore, currently joint seventh in the Premier League list for most chances created from open play this season (31 each, level with Mohamed Salah)

Neto is also top of the cross chart in terms of players getting on the end (not percentage)

Traore is 44th. I personally think crossing is a tad misleading as a stat - as its dependent on a player getting on the end and so sometimes a player makes the right cross and hits the right area, buts it's deemed unsuccessful due to strikers or players not making the right run etc.

Fabio’s is fairly high because of his pen and goal against the Albion. Interesting that his xG net of pens (npxG) is 2.8 which ranks him 4th.

To nobody’s surprise Neto is our most effective player with an xG of 3.3 and xA of 4.4. Adama’s for reference is 0.7 and 3.4. Adama currently has 0 and 0 so is underperforming his stats.

When you sort by npxG Fabio is second and Donk is 3rd
