Summer 2019 Transfer Thread

How much money does it cost to not care about where you live and what others think?

Go you Mr Perfect. Everyone else should now be judged on your experiences in life.

Hes a millionaire football player with agents, lawyers, etc who can all give him advice. Hardly a kid at 21, I had graduated uni and lived on 4 different continents at his age, with no money and no help.
He will not start in milan this season. Oh no, he temporarily has to change one mansion in milan for a mansion in england and suffer a three hour trip on a private plane.

He's moving away from everything he has ever known. That's tough. Your situation is the exception rather than the rule.

Im just saying that by age 21 you should be able to make a decision like this. Again, he is already a multi millionaire. He will get paid millions to play here.
So the decision is.. do you stay where you are clearly not wanted, pkaylay off the bench or sit in reserve, or move somewhere where you are wanted and actually start?

You could say the same for Zinchenko though: 12 months after our interest he's firmly in Guardiola's plans and has recently signed a new contract. They didn't want him when we were in for him.

Erm... he is making a decision about this. Is he not allowed to mull over the move before deciding whether to sign or not?

I also don't think he's not in Milan's plans: they just need the money due to FFP and to fund other signings, and he's the sacrificial lamb because Silva failed his medical. In the same way Neves was sacrificed at Porto.

Which he is doing. Don't forget this move was not his decision. He didn't tell Milan to sell him its been forced up on him

He could stay and then that would stop Milan signing the forward they want as they need the money from us to part fund it. So he has taken his time, knowing he has a limited future at the club. Probably tried to learn a lot about us and have his agent go through various things with him. In that time we have been talking with Milan and it looks like it was only yesterday we hit the figures they are happy with and the player is now ready to speak with us. This isn't him stamping his feet and refusing to move it is a player handling the first big move of his career by giving it as much thought as possible.

Absolutely, in that case zinchenko made the right decision for himself, we were wrong. Keep in mind he was very lucky with injuries to his teammates and he performed. Neither one is a given, luck played a huge part.

So he is in milans plans, but they are madly shopping for strikers? Hes had a chance to establish himself at milan and he failed

He also had probably never heard of Wolverhampton Wanderers before we were in for him. We may have finished 7th but our name doesn't have the same pull as Chelsea, Arsenal et al.

Yeah some harsh views here. Spurs once agreed to sell Son as he wasn't in their plans and many in the media took the piss out of him because he refused to even meet with whoever the Bundesliga side was and instead said he wanted to stay at Spurs.

I really do not get the point you're trying to make here. Jimenez had an appalling record before he signed for us - particularly in Europe. Cutrone didn't have a good season last year but the season previous to that he scored 18 goals.

Because money is the only thing in life - the strong links between Italians and their mother and family is well known.

No excuse, Walter said we are the biggest club in Italy...

Also, this "doesn't want to join us" stuff has all come from stuff on Twitter and that is about as reliable as Andy Lonergan. Only this morning it was a fact Neves was out for 6 weeks. We only reached agreement with Milan in the last 24 hours with regards to the fee so he had no real decision to make until Milan confirmed to him yesterday they had agreed a fee. He has been playing for them in the USA.

I guess Vallejo is a shit signing then as he didn't establish himself at Madrid.

You seem convinced it's to do with money. It clearly isn't.

Rubbish, we are huge in Italy, Walter Zenga told me. :icon_lol: :icon_lol: :icon_lol:
