Striker Needed ????

With all the much heralded new arrivals,one thing for me still stands out,our need for a top quality striker/finisher.I know we have Jimenez and Bonatini but the need for a proven hit man still appears to be the last piece of the jigsaw, all the talk is still of midfielders or defenders!,surely we have to move for one within the next 9 days?,ideas anyone?,looks like Silva's off to Turkey and Milosovich to Fulham who by the way appear to be assembling a good squad on the quiet.

We aren't looking for that type of player, Jeff said as much in the meeting with fans last week and is the reason we flipped Afobe. Jimenez is our starting number 9.

Yep I'm really disappointed that we haven't gone out there and signed a 20 goal a season striker. You don't survive in the Premier League without one...

We do need another striker/forward, but if available it will be a Bonatini type, but a better version.

Can't comment on Jimenez yet as I haven't seen him other than a brief appearance against Mexico.

Agree on Jimenez. Bonatini looked like the 2018 version on Saturday not the 2017 one we hoped may reappear, but others were half paced as well, so I'll reserve judgement until the season proper.

Looked decent against Stoke too, muscled Shwacross and Martins-Indi off the ball with ease a couple of times.

I’d say CF was one of the least pressing issues. Nice to have but not essential like LWB and CB.

Bit out of our market I think.

Not a massive need for this, though if a deal appears that we can complete which is worthwhile then wouldn't complain

Lukaku didn't get to 20 league goals. The other 3 did plus Vardy

After watching Jonny against Derby I just can’t see it that he is Lwb option. Yes it’s one game, yes it’s pre season. But there’s enough evidence there to see that he’s not ideally suited to it with how weak he looked on his wrong side.

I reckon he’s bought in as RWB with the option of LWB in a crisis. Even if there’s only 0.1% in the Rose rumour it still suggests we are after someone for that position.
