Will you renew?

Me, Deutsch, Booz, Punts definitely. Johnny I think. I assume those like North Shropshire and Aiki who were on the fence did, given those that definitely weren't ending up doing so. People have now moved to I won't buy any merchandise or anything from the kiosks, except they will.
TBF I always said I would likely renew (x3) but also was also strongly against the price rises.
To be clear, I will always support Wolves but hate this commercial commodity that football has become. The sooner Jeff and Fosun are gone the better, even though I appreciate ‘be careful what you wish for’.
Renewing is not a climb down and I have fallen out, possibly forever, with a very long standing mate at the club. Not that this means anything to his boss.

Yeah, I renewed. It took a lot more thinking than I've ever had to do about renewing.

I will not be buying merch etc (though I will use up the merch cash I get - as that won't be available to use against a ticket next season).

I’ve renewed simply because it’s the main thing I do with my stepson. I tried to convince him we could have football days visiting different grounds but at the end of the day Wolves is who he wants to watch. If it had been just me I would not have renewed. My relationship with my stepson is worth more than making a point to Shi. Full credit to anyone not renewing on principle.

Football is about more than money or even the game for a lot of us. It’s all very well to take the moral high ground with other people’s money, tickets and lives.

It’s part of why the timing between the wolves mental health video and price rises was so poor - for many men it’s one of the few ways they regularly connect with friends and family.

Absolutely. I generally enjoy getting to the Royal London and having a few beers whilst watching the early game more than the 90 minutes inside Molineux. I was all for trips to Scotland and League 2 grounds for a season.

Yeah I renewed and yeah I shall by the new shirt, I hope i don’t have to feel alienated by doing so.

Jeff won't care about the "broken relationship". All he cares about is the figures/bottom line and it looks like he's pitched it perfectly given the amount of people who ended up renewing (and that isn't a critical comment towards those people at all). From the general trend, it looks like a much higher % have caved and renewed compared to those that have made a stand.

I find it pretty insulting that people who didn't have the opportunity of renewing are saying Shi has it right.

It comes across as judgemental on those that may/ may not have reviewed.

In the eyes of his employers, and that's all that matters.

If he hadn't got it right, the vast majority of people wouldn't have renewed, but they have, so he's laughing all the way to the bank and at each at every one of those who did.

As I've said, morally the bloke is a cunt for doing this.

But the only way of proving that to him and the club would have been having a huge chunk not renewing, that didn't happen, so he'll continue to treat each and everyone of us like mugs. Whether that's with what they spend on transfers or how much they charge us to watch.

If we've lost 2,000 of 22,000 season ticket holders who have all been dutifully paying up for 5+ years (often significantly more) then I would class that as 'a huge chunk'.

I think we've lost more than that.

Even if it is around 2k, is 10% a huge chunk? Not for me, especially as they'll be comfortably replaced by people who will pay more as new STs.

I think it's nearer 4,000 personally and I don't think they'll get replaced either.

Ok let's say it's 4k. (I don't think it'll be anywhere near that, just look on here and AT)

The bottom line income from gate receipts won't drop, as they'll make more money from charging new STs more, and/or they'll make more money from members or non members who go to 5 games a season filling those seats.

Yeah there will be 5 or so games a season with lower than previous attendances, but that'll be covered by the massive rises and the sold out other high profile games.

Also, those 4k (!) non renewed ST holders will be going to between 1 and 10 games a season too!

The only time it becomes a problem is when we are relegated, Shi doesn't care about that, he probably won't be here then.

Shi has won here, despite all the whinging, and those commendable people who did not renew on principle, there are thousands who still did despite saying they wouldn't.

I know people won't like reading this, and I'll get abuse, but it doesn't make it any less true.
