Scottish Independence watch

It was as if Richard Littlejohn had been invited to the forum to make a guest post on the subject, but he had to type it out with sausages rather than his fingers.

I'm not sure what angle you were after, but I wouldn't suggest that satire's your bag.

I hope it was better than my spelling , Deutch! Haha

Lycanthropist didn't seem to take that view. As he is a Scot I would say you are talking complete bollocks personally.

TBF whenever I've met Lycan he's either drinking heavily, hungover or both.

#fitsthestereotype

Pale blue skin. Scottish accent.

If it looks like a duck, and it quacks....it's a fucking duck.

The boy has more of a hybrid accent than I do, and mine is all over the fucking place.

I know. Definitely a twang of dunblane in there though!

Speaking as someone whose accent can go all over the place depending on company and level of alcohol drunk it can be difficult to tie certain accents down. My infants school teachers reckoned I had a strong potteries accent at eight. Shame I was trying to fit in with Cheshire at the time! Now, unless pissed, I sound like a bbc newsreader. I can do a pretty mean Lancashire though. Scary

For work I sound very BBC. When I've had a drink I sound like some weird mix of Manchester and London. You would never guess where I was from based on my accent!

Now, unless pissed, I sound like a bbc newsreader.

Yep, nothing llike watching the 10 o'clock News and Huw Edwards saying "Tonight on the fucking News...Isreal called cunts for utter fuckwittery.......Obama the twat calls Putin a cuntyretard...

Pad sounds way more Black Country than I do. And I've lived here for 29 of my 33 years.

I know! As I say, you would never ever guess where I am from based on how I talk.

A Scottish person would realize I was having a laugh at English people ,who think Scottish people can't think for themselves and they know better what is better for Scottish people than Scottish people.

It was a light hearted piss take of people who should lighten up.Nothing else .Of course , we can see that some people have agendas .Not saying you have , James .

Having read your posts for quite a while now, I really have to tell you that you're in no fucking position to talk down to James.
James has been known to post one or two daft comments, but yours are just stupid, often offensive, frequently misinformed, often wrong and totally belying your username.
And it really irritates me, you keep putting a space before a punctuation mark and no space after it.

Now that Dave/Clegg & Milliband have promised greater devolution (and in some cases intimated that the current funding formula, which benefits Scotland, will remain) in exchange for a No vote will mean that whatever the outcome there will be massive constitutional issues to deal with. (assuming that you are not cynical enough to believe that they are not telling the truth - as if that would happen with politicians :) )

A No vote - are England & Wales going to accept Scottish MPs at Westminster voting on issues that in the vast majority of cases will not affect their constituents at all as for them what happens will be decided in the Scottish Parliament?

Can you have a Scottish elected Minister of Education at Westminster proposing changes to schools in England & Wales when it will not touch what happens in Scotland?

Pandora's box was opened when they agreed to this referendum & there is no way of shutting it again now.

I know! As I say, you would never ever guess where I am from based on how I talk.

To be fair, though, Wolverhampton does have two VERY different accents. If you come from Bilston, Willenhall or Sedgley, people tend to have quite a Black Country accent; if you come from Wednesfield, Fordhouses, Tettenhall or Penn, you tend to have a "proper" Wolverhampton accent - though there's no absolute boundary - Bushbury tends to be more of a BC, despite being between Wednesfield and Fordhouses.

But I am in a position to defend myself when some one insults me and I have a right to.
I Don't think I have attacked another poster or insulted anyone because of his views .I get abuse quite often , some of it deserved , some of it not .But it is a bit rich when someone insults me because he misunderstood what I had said , that I am not allowed to point it out .

I am not part of the Uni brigade , nor the speaking like the BBC speakers clique.I don"t don't feel any need to talk about the real ale that I drink.

You will always defend the people not as clever as yourselves ,who stick up for your ideas with their grovelling and lack of their own opinions .But one thing you can't stand is someone as you perceive as lower class having their own ideas and fighting for what they believe .That gets to you .It is pure snobbery .

The double standard of a few of the personal attacks against me is laughable.I was called a Nazi because I posted against the bombings of Israeli children , event though I had posted of the suffering of the Jewish people over the centuries and there right to have there homeland and be protected . I was called prejudice because i mentioned the religion of the father. So did the media .Of course people taking this piss out of the same religion and generalizing about other religions on a different thread doesn't matter .I could have brought up the hypocracy at the time , but chose not to drag the board down with reference to other threads. But that is what is happening here .People throw a headline post , most prejudiced , most vile and now most stereo typical hoping that mud sticks.

My post about the Scottish people on here , wasn't what I think . It was about people on here thinking they know better than Scottish people , what is best for them . People that are fed media hype about economics and how poor that Scotland will be , if they vote yes .My argument , is Scottish people are big and clever enough to make there own decisions .

So if someone says that post is offensive to Scottish people and thinks that I think that most Scottish people wear dresses or that they eat battered Mars bars , they were wrong and it was funny that they were so wrong .Even then after he had said it was the most stupid post , I was quite gentle on him.I didn't feel the need to be personal or insulting.

I got it wrong about the child who went to Malaga thread , I held my hands up and said sorry . That is what the under class do .

A lot of the Yes support is nothing to do with him and everything to do with Cameron and his gang being a bunch of contemptible $#@!s. The most heartless, petty, vindictive government we've ever had. People will take any opportunity to give them a bloody nose.

I think it goes back further than Dave though. The Tories used to do alright in Scotland until Maggie took over. The fact that Blair was essentially a pale imitation of her left them with nowhere to go but the SNP. The Yes surge is about a rejection of our establishment and neo-liberal ecomomics IMV.

Yeah, but I don't sound anything like any of that. Despite living here for most of my life. I did when I was a kid but it's been gradually eradicated ever since I moved to Manchester.
