Salmond only ever wanted DevoMax so he'll be happy. He didn't expect to win the 2011 Scottish elections and when he did he had to stand by his manifesto pledge for a referendum on independence which he thought he'd never have to follow up on.

A lot of the Yes support is nothing to do with him and everything to do with Cameron and his gang being a bunch of contemptible twats. The most heartless, petty, vindictive government we've ever had. People will take any opportunity to give them a bloody nose.

The collapse of the Liberal vote in Scotland after "Cleggy" went in to power with Dave meant that the SNP won the elections for the Scottish Parliament. Labour lost a small % of the vote too.
