They do, Mikey Lewis has had a great season and deserves to be in with a shout for Man of Steel but he’s the Super League equivalent of Neal Maupay.

Grand final day here and it is a bit of a roaster in Sydney. Watching the inter-state championship match now, then the women's grand final follows (NRLW is an excellent standard this season, btw), and then Melbourne Storm v Penrith Panthers is the main event this evening.

Even up in the high country here it is pretty damn hot today, so I imagine Sydney must be at least thirty degrees today at sea level. Not sure if that will favour the Panthers or the Storm. Easily the two best NRL sides this season, so I am looking forward to an epic contest.

NRLW final was OUTSTANDING. Sydney Roosters coasting at 24-0 at half time, but a stunning Cronulla comeback fell just short in a 32-28 result. An epic game, brilliant second half.

To add a final point, there has been a lot of discussion over here about the improvement in kicking in the NRLW.

As far as I can remember, the only kick not converted in the final was the conversion of the final Cronulla try, which they turned down as there was a minute left and they needed the extra seconds to try and get over the line again. Every other kick was nailed.

And the field kicking was of a very high standard too.

Looking forward to the big game later, and also making plans with a fellow Hull KR follower to try and watch the Super League grand final.
