Ruben Neves

The Magician

In the post match, on field interview, Coady said he scores goals like that every day in training and I'm sure he called him "the magician"...

Connor Coady must be sick of handing over MotM trophies on Sky this season! :icon_lol:

Love Coady and after a few ales my accent isn’t a million miles off his, but how in fuck Neves is meant to understand a single word of that I do not know. Christ I hope he scores the winner Sunday.

we’re gonna run out of superlatives for this guy before too long. everything he touches turns to gold.

Let me just say that I never saw the late great Peter Broadbent do THAT!!!!

What a wonderful player, if he was 29 and the finished article I would be in awe but the fact hes 21 and will probably get better?? It has been an honor to watch him grow and one day I will tell my kids tales about the guy that flicked one up and volleyed it in to the top corner. Love him so much, his attitude is just so special not the slightest hint of Mr Billy Big Boots.

I am going to say he was a decent signing xD

So, thinking about the summer - there will be interest from other clubs.

And while we dont need to sell, at what point would we have our heads turned?

40m? 50m? 80m?

If you look at some of the money paid for other players then for a prodigiously talented 21 year old its not out of the question.

The other aspect is would Neves want to stay? He seems to love the club and be happy, but if Man City came calling? Or Real, or Barca, or PSG?

Hopefully we can get him to stay for at least a year - so that if we lose him then he'll be Premier League proven, and also it gives us a chance to show that maybe the things he could achieve elsewhere he can also achieve here.

I think he'll give us a year in the Premier League but if he continues to improve (I see no reason why he won't) then he'll be playing for a Champions League side in 2019/20.

I'd hate for him not to play in the Premier League with us but TBQH it's been an honour seeing him in a Wolves shirt so I'm just enjoying the time he's here with us.

Neves is the absolute Bargain of 2017. Look at who else cost about that much. Hell huddesfield paid 11 m for Alex Pritchard. Something attracted him here. If the recruitment in the summer matches his ambitions I am sure he will stay. It is , however very difficult if a top 6 side come knocking with 50m. Then it will be does he want to be a big fish in an expanding pond or another bench warmer?

Both Man United and Liverpool fans on Twitter this morning saying they want him next year. Pogba - Neves - Matic seems a reasonable midfield, I suppose. I'm desperately hoping he stays another year but a good World Cup and an offer around £60m and he could be off

We should not even come close to considering any offer below £80million.

whatever we're offerred this year will probably be increased the next year. IMO its a good investment to turn down all offers unless of course Ruben wants to leave.

People need to remember we are absolutely fucking minted. Unless he wants to go we don't have to sell him. We could ask the absolute fucking earth.
