REFERENDUM RESULTS AND DISCUSSION THREAD

Woke up at 4am & realised that I wasn't going to able to get back to sleep

Surprised that leave is leading to the extent it is but not the way the specific areas are splitting on this issue - with the metropolitan centre having ignored concerns of the rest of the country for too many years & are now getting a 2 finger salute.

Stays as it is and there will be a short term horror show in the markets (though if certain elements of the City were expecting on a Remain vote and were gambling on that & are now desperately trying to unwind their positions lose money as a result then I will not lose sleep over that). Markets, currency or otherwise have had shocks & problems before & do recover.

Not a done deal yet as haven't looked as to which areas are yet to declare - neither side over the line at this time

Cannot believe what I have just woken up and seen, more so now very worried of what lies ahead.

Indian and Japanese stock markets have just fallen on their faces... Supposedly because of the Brexit.

Japanese circuit breaker tripped and trading has been suspended. Don't think India has a similar system in place.

Pound has dropped to its lowest level since 1985.

Leave still needs just under 2.5million votes to officially win.

Vote just shows the divided country we live in you can fully expect another Scottish Referendum within 5 years.

Indeed.
Pretty sure a lot of people have voted leave to get rid of Cameron - well why didn't you do it on the GE instead? Just so shows how hated the mainstream Conservative government are.

So angry people have chosen to listen to the likes of Boris Johnson and Nigel Farahe banging on about migration and the lie of paying £350 million to the EU each week.
They've not chosen to listen to leading economists.

We'd all best start saving too seeing as we'll likely have no pension or NHS soon.

Wonder if the next batch of austerity measures will finally affect the older generation? We all know they are "protected" by the Conservatives as that's where a lot of their votes come from...

Oh god!, just got up and been greeted with the news, this is gonna be an unmitigated disaster for the poor and working class of this Country.

Also looks a split between the young and older generations to, just about every person I know over 55 has voted out.
Problem is it'll be the younger generation who'll be the ones who suffer if this is proven to be a big mistake.

I'm nearly 63 and voted to remain, we aren't all bigots.

I'll be voting Yes. What a fucking mess.

So will at least 65% of Scots. Should make getting to Wolves games fun for you
...

It'll be a bigger margin than that. No don't have a leg to stand on now.

Only way forward now is to copy Norway's approach, I would think... Although they have it a bit easier, sitting on such a huge oil reserve.

Thoughts are with you lot. Brexit there and Trump here. Good times, eh?

Reckon you'd leave the UK and immediately adopt the Euro?
