REFERENDUM RESULTS AND DISCUSSION THREAD

From a Telegraph political correspondence tweet:

HOW AGES VOTED (YouGov poll) 18-24: 75% Remain 25-49: 56% Remain 50-64: 44% Remain 65+: 39% Remain #EUref

Just shows the different view from the young and old, sad thing is its those 75% of those 18-24 year olds and countless children unable to vote who'll suffer the most and left to fix the mess.

Really? Gove will tear the NHS up. Markets will take years to recover by which time you will be taking a greatly reduced pension. Sturgeon will immediately demand independence after the stark difference in voting. This is a complete disaster. No two ways about it.

Scotland have had their referendum and got their result, they have voted in this referendum and not got the result they personally wanted...Tough, that's why people have a free vote. They are part of the UK and voted to stay that way

Every Scottish region bar about one wanted to stay. Their voice has not been heard. They will immediately want a new vote and independence will win by an absolute landslide. They will not be denied that. They are gone. Well played everyone.

Short term volatility was a given.

there's a lot of reactionary opinion coming out now. Best to observe and see what happens.

read on Twitter that Farage has said that leave offering the £350m 'saving' to nhs was a mistake and won't happen.

did he not have an opportunity to mention this before?

My only comment on this today. All I will say is I feel like crying. So many people of the people who have done this to us have no idea of the implications outside of less Eastern European immigration.

$#@!ing horrendous. Expect Scotland out of the U.K. immediately. Economic disaster as the markets completely collapse. Not to mention the NHS being torn apart and the end of free health care when on holiday in Europe.

Well played the British people. Superb stuff. Riding blindly into disaster. You don't like Cameron don't vote for him in a general election. You are going to love Boris Johnson with bloody power.

Ha ! That'll keep you in with the gang.

Bit flighty there Paddy.

Farage never said it in fairness. Vote Out did. He was asked a question he wouldn't know the answer to but he squirmed.

Tough shit. They should of waited to have their referendum till after this one then. They made their bed as have the rest of the UK now.
London voted almost unanimously so should they get a referendum to split from the UK?
If it had been a Remain vote would Wales who largely voted Leave of been given a Referendum to leave the UK? No, I don't they would so Scotland can shut the fuck up

And so many who did vote voted for other reasons.

There's a real arrogance coming out this morning. (Not you mate or anyone on here) towards the majority.

Nope. It won't happen that way. The first referendum in Scotland was won on staying in. That has fundamentally changed. I cannot believe your naivety on this. Scotland will be independent on the day the rest of us leave.

I know he didn't say it, but given the offer was made weeks ago he's had ample time to call it for what he thought it was. alternatively, make it one of the first messages you give post result.....

I didn't vote as I believe short term we will struggle, but long term it will improve and I wasn't sure I wanted to sacrifice the short term for the long term, however reading some of the comments on Facebook by the remain voters is pretty disgraceful.

The worst being 'This is why the poor shouldn't be allowed to vote'.

It's not naivety at all Pads...The way to get through this is not to break up the UK.
So will you answer my last question? If the vote had been Remain should Wales of been given a referendum to give them the chance to leave the UK as they mostly voted Out?
Do you believe they would of been given that chance? If not, why should Scotland?

England and Wales OUT. Scotland and that London thing IN.

£ v $ = Ouch

If an OUT the money will pour into the UK.

I've received an e-mail from my Chinese supplier this morning saying my orders are ready.

Absolutely - let the people who are panicking and throwing paddies get it over with and then we can start the process of independence. Either way had pro's and cons, so in the next few weeks we can start focussing on the future.
