The implications don't exactly look wildly promising do they.

So lets throw everything we have out and go for a leap of faith based on frankly bugger all because it will all be ace, we are Great Britain and they all need us.

It's fucking claptrap.

He said it would take 50 years before we see the benefits of Brexit.

Its this bit I still can't get my head around, why would anyone vote to be worse off (JRM and his ilk will not be worse off as they are disaster capitalists with large financial bets on the country failing).
Soros is a self confessed disaster capitalist but yet the left love him, explain that for me please.

Why bring George Soros into the argument? I don't think anyone on here has love for him.

Again, my clients go (they deal extensively in mainland Europe), I have an income of £0. What do you want me to do? Work in Tesco? Be a binman? And for what? Where's the gain for me doing a worse job for far less money, because your political grandmaster has decided to embark on the stupidest idea in the world?

"It looks pretty good for Brexit" indeed.

I couldn't care less for Soros or Mogg. Both stand to gain from Brexit. My question is why would ordinary folks vote to be worse off?

By the way I'm far from on the left.

But how I just see big fancy words like bollocks to Brexit, it won't work etc..... My sole line of work is to negotiate and Buy things in and out of the EU and I am not seeing the same concerns outside our media. I have my own worries as the company I work for is EU based but I also appreciate competition and opportunity. Much of what I do involves materials and with potential deals with the US in the offing things are getting very interesting.

I worry every day about this but more so about the divide in the people.

I wish to god it never happened in the first place but we are here now and I just see so much hate towards each other it really bothers me.

Despite my best efforts ;)

Although on this I did see a Conservative German euro politician (not the nut jobs on the right) and he did say that the EU are making a mistake if they let the UK go with no deal as it damages both parties.

His view was it was better to reform and look at a new deal rather than both parties taking a stubborn stance.

It's the first time I've heard a Euro MP say this out loud.

I dislike the CDU/CSU but they're not idiots.

This mess is not of the EU's making though.

No he said for the full understanding it could take 50 years or more. I've also heard him challenged in this point and I agree with him on this. I've seen forecasts of major improvements within 5 years. Not saying there won't be hardship in the interim but it's not quite the same as 50 years.

I'm no fan of Mogg he championed WTO then voted May's deal but that conversation is one where his words have been twisted.

Which brings me back to why would you vote to be worse off?

The negotiations and Brexit itself may be a mess, but the country is far from a mess. Whether that will change when we finally leave, I doubt, but I guess it may.

Really, do share.

Because literally no-one in the world has published anything like that, even lunatics like Andrew Minford.

You might well have seen it, it's fucking bollocks though mate.

I have magic beans right here in my garage at a knockdown price if you like. The best thing about it is that I don't even have a garage.

Why would you start a business when most fail in the first 2 years? Low risk low reward.....larger risk larger reward. This is why I worry this is more of a socialist/globalist debate
Driven by tribalism.

With the implications on tariffs there is no doubt we will be worse off as our infrastructure just isn't up to that kind of pressure.

Nor do we have a single trade negotiator.

Still, we can WTO only. Like Mauritania did until a couple of years ago. They're doing great, right?

It will certainly change the way we do business and you can see it happening already, but I’m not sure it will make us worse off.

I don't think your analogy works here as if it were just about trade I might see your point. But it isn't this is about everything people related, research, intelligence sharing, military cooperation, law and lots more I don't know.

Immigration is such a small part of this but yet a point blown up out of all proportion.

As I said before I'm a long way from being socialist and I don't think the EU is a socialist entity.

You know it will definitively impact on millions of British people yeah, negatively? And they aren't in a position to sort of wait for two years until it hopefully levels out?

What happens to them? We already have a shit economy.

I can't as I've already said but I would be quite upset by being branded a liar on this point. I shouldn't have shared who this was by as it was a closed meeting.

I work in the core of manufacturing I. This country and I can tell you this manufacturing is tamping up not down.

All the key indicators for so called experts have been already wildly wrong and yet you talk of magic beans.

I work closely with Mills CNC they are major major players in the core of manufacturing and things are getting better and better despite all predictions.

I need to see evidence I only see biased media reporting, spin and emotion.

Show me some facts and I'll happily accept it.
