The people chose to leave and if you think that it was the lies of the campaign your wrong. People vote based on their views, unfortunately the EU fails to deliver tangible improvements to peoples lives and remember people who have nothing having nothing to lose.
i agree in the main with this point.
just to add though that it's the history of electioneering lies and soundbites over the years that's also helped to contribute to a situation where the nation sticks two fingers up to the wishes of a serving prime minister. the fact that falsehoods were told was at least acknowledged in Parliament yesterday during PMQ's

Former Conservative attorney general Dominic Grieve accuses Vote Leave of making "false" and "in many cases unfulfilable" claims during the EU referendum campaign - and warns it could erode public trust in Parliament.
He says the referendum result highlighted the "increasing disconnect" between the public and politicians, and adds:
If we do not restore that trust then it seems to me that the role of this House is fatally undermined."
who knows whether those he accuses of the false claims feel the same way. perhaps in the HoC lobby afterwards they also falsely accused him of "misinterpreting their attentions" or of "not accepting the result of the democratic process".
