REFERENDUM RESULTS AND DISCUSSION THREAD

I could say you post shit.

That you look to argue not to debate.

You have tried to be personal many times and came off worse.

Your opinions are no better or worse than mine, it's your opinion, that's all

You are a shit stirrer.

A hypocrit.

But do you think you can answer the questions?

Nice edit there...

Who have said nothing happens until a new leader is elected.

Therefore firmly in the Brexit camp for me. Perhaps they could, you know, make a plan...

Paddy Cameron is prime minister its his job. The fact he abdicated responsibility doesn't make it anyone else's until a new prime minister is in place. He rightly bought a bit if to e but has ducked the decisions. Both main parties in meltdown internally and its not helping.

The problem is though, it's difficult to plan anything until they know who the leader is and who his/her team will be.

You could assume if you were on the Brexit side that it would be a Brexit campaigner that ends up leader. They should've seen that Cameron 'could' resign and been ready for it.

They also should've had a plan, if nothing else to put pressure on the Government and reassure the markets. Even if it was a press conference that amounted to just rhetoric (like they've been doing all the way through). As it is the Brexit clan look fucked and genuinely bereft of any plan.

This is not good. There should be plenty of noise yet we've had nothing.

It really isn't if he doesn't want to do it.

And you can tell that it has fucked BoJo and Gove up who just assumed he would get on with it for them. Now he won't and they are going to have to find a workaround.

Blatantly obvious that Cameron wasn't surviving a Leave vote.

Pots, kettles, and black spring to mind.

If i'ts said enough times it becomes true. I might not answer the question to someomes liking, that's true. What I have noticed, is the people who always go on about not answering the questions, don't always answer the questions.

Yeah but, no but....:)

I wonder why 'Economists for Brexit' have taken their website down.

Did I just hear Boris say the pound and pensions were stable?!? :spaz:

If anyone thinks that the majority view will be implemented they are gonna be sadly let down. While the media continue the fear campaign Ken Clarke and others will use our parliamentary democracy to ignore the plebs.
We like Ireland will be invited to vote again on what type of not leaving we prefer.
If the remain campaign had won on a 500 majority there would be no question that democracy would be honoured.
In summary we will not leave and in the end would have to accept the Euro and the further building of the Superstate.
Unfortunately for those of us that wish to remain the EU is breaking up without our help the French and others are all wanting to break out
and after their next election they will probably get a vote, given their last vote on the Lisbon treaty they too will vote to leave (of course they now
are a net contributer and dont get such a great deal from CAP). The EU was always heading for a Superstate they didnt hide it but people are losing their national identity and wont have it.

Presumably if making plans and having contingencies is of zero importance, if Wolves ever get promoted again then it would be OK for the club to make no projections and line up no signings in advance?

You wouldn't have it off a bloody football team so I'm certainly not having it off politicians who've just provisionally changed the country permanently.
The people chose to leave and if you think that it was the lies of the campaign your wrong. People vote based on their views, unfortunately the EU fails to deliver tangible improvements to peoples lives and remember people who have nothing having nothing to lose.

While I'm on one if Corbyn had the courage of his convictions he would have campaigned for Brexit and would be in a strong position now. Instead he will win another member vote and hand the Tory party a free ride on these matters.

I think that the PLP decided they wanted to support Remain and that Corbyn as the leader had to support that view.

I think he tried to compromise that position with his own, by taking a halfway-house position by saying that we needed to stay in, in order to reform it.

Now the PLP want blood by making his position untenable. They think if they have a vote of no confidence that he will step down. He won't, and they can't force a leadership election without his name on the ballot paper and his membership majority is huge, so he would be just re-elected.

If that doesn't work they feel that if they all resign, he won't have a cabinet so he will have to resign. Not everyone will fall on their sword but it will be interesting to see if Corbyn can fill the vacancies with other Labour MPs.

As Cameron said in Parliament today, when he welcomed the new MP for Tooting to the chamber, that the way things were going she could soon be in the Shadow Cabinet.

The good news keeps coming and coming.

When are you having your emergency Budget, asks presenter Nick Robinson.

George Osborne denies he said there'd be one immediately after a Leave vote, but measures would be needed within a few months.

"We are absolutely going to have to provide fiscal security to people..."

Does that mean tax rises and spending cuts? "Yes, absolutely," replies the chancellor.

I blame the Guardian, the BBC and the EU for this. The bastards.

I blame the socialist, olive eating, African doctors.
