REFERENDUM RESULTS AND DISCUSSION THREAD

Ironic that the areas that are predicted the biggest hits are the areas that massively voted Brexit. Working-class, industrial areas like the West Mids and North-East that rely on European sales and immigration to staff their businesses.

And it was entirely predictable from the outset. Even know-nothing Wolves fans on obscure internet fora repeatedly said this would be the case.

Nah I don't believe that's not a pisstake!

I hope it is a pisstake, but then I wonder how much time people have got on their hands to tweet as often as this for a joke.

FFS Louie - how long have you been posting on TWF?

Much as this epiphany is heartwarming I have something of an issue with it.
You were told before the vote Cameron would resign and it would be this lot who'd have to try and sort it.
You were told before the vote that the Government would lurch further to the right.
You were told before the vote that we didn't have the infrastructure or civil service to cope with it.
You were told before the vote that freedom of movement and the single market / customs union were part of the same package.
You were told before the vote that the EU wouldn't just roll over and give in because we are GREAT Britain.
So please don't act like these things coming to pass is some sort of surprise.

not in transition/ implementation mate. read the post.

No epiphany either. Just amazed constantly that people elected this shower KNOWING that we had voted for brexit.

That isn't a pisstake. It is a display of overwhelming ignorance though, like this quote:
SO APPARENTLY ITS RACIST TO CALL MUSLIMS "PAKI", BUT IF YOU CALL A BRITISH PERSON A "BRIT" IT ISNT. ABSOLUTELY FUMING, THIS PC BOLLOCKS IS STARTING TO WIND ME UP NOW
Also, telling everyone what porn he's buying.

Unfortunately, society is heading further that way.

I'm constantly amazed people voted Brexit when it was obvious who was going to be in charge of implementing it.

Economic growth over 15 years. :ursofunny:

always reminds me of the old joke:
Three people are stranded on a small island. One is a physicist, one is a circus strongman, and one is an economist. After a few days of surviving on fruit, they discover a cache of canned food, and they have to decide how to open it. The physicist says to the strongman "Why don't you climb that tree, and smash the cans down on the rocks, and burst them open?"
The strongman says, "No, that would spatter the stuff all over. I can open the cans with my teeth!"

The economist says "First, we must assume that we have a can opener."

It's $500 guaranteed income on top of whatever you earn or claim in benefits isn't it? That's my understanding of it
