REFERENDUM RESULTS AND DISCUSSION THREAD

I sympathise with much of that Pad. But when you say to Leave voters 'this is your bed, you lie in it' don't you think we all have to 'lie in it' regardless of which way we voted ? Unless people decide to Emigrate of course ?

Yes, unfortunately we do all have to "lie in it" - but it is the job of Brexiters to make it. They wanted this, they need to make sure it works.

Given that we all seem to concede that the reality of Brexit is a lot more concrete now, and will be even further cemented once negotiations are complete, surely another vote is appropriate?

News that the EU is planning a transparent approach to Brexit negotiations. This should get interesting.

Good. You know for a fact the Tories aren't interested in transparency.

Bask in the glory of being proved right, mostly.

You never have acknowledged that many people in the UK and in the EU have seen no benifits of being in the EU, so I find it rediculous that you want Brexit and the majority of the people in the UK to fail so you can " be proved right". You couldn't see what was in front of your eyes, never mind what was in the future.

Source?

I wouldn't bother Alan it's the same unsubstantiated $#@!e he's been pedalling for years.

Low paid and 4 million UK workers living in poverty might not bother England's next coach in waiting, but it is real, even though you would like to turn your back on it.

62% youth unemployment in my city and millions of southern European families having to leave their countries and families, to find a job. Only global capitalists would see that as a success.

Again, source?

Ah, but it's fun when you only need one word to discredit the entire argument!

It would help if it was relevant information. It isn't. As has been pointed out on numerous occasions, the U.K. leaving the EU won't impact on the number of people living in poverty in the UK. That is a domestic issue.

The only impact Brexit will have on "Southern Europe" will be to make their situation slightly worse.

I've had a bad back for a few days. Brexit will sort that out. FACT.

The EU countries that have recieved hundreds of billions but still have very high unemployment and high levels of government corruption, where do you think their citizens will go to find work? Because they have no hope or possibility in their own countries. Probably the UK and Germany?

Brilliant. The countries are fucked despite receiving billions, so if we take that billions away they'll become spectacularly unfucked overnight.

Well it won't be the UK will it as we're "closing the borders"

And which countries specifically have high levels of corruption?

If the UK government used the same means as Spain to determine youth unemployment the stats for the UK would be far higher. Manipulated to suit the agenda.

A bit harsh surely? Based on the results of the referendum, it's a proven fact that the majority of those who voted believed the cons of being part of the EU outweigh the pros. I suspect if another referendum were to be held tomorrow the result would swing sharply in the other direction but that's just my gut feeling based on the fact that the government are seen to be winging it.
