Is Spain going to be happy if they are unable to export to the UK because the EU tells them they cant?

They won't tell them they can't, they're telling them it will cost the same as any other EU member. That's how a trading bloc works.

And as members of a trading bloc they would expect to get a better deal, that's kinda the point.

They don't have any choice - as much as you think they will tell the EU to shove it and make their own deal / circumnavigate the EU, exporting doesn't work like that and it won't happen.

No they couidnt as the ferry would have a non EU border post brexit. Just like it used to. It really is not hard to go back to something we already had 30 years ago.

Err no. Because the ferry between Northern Ireland and Great Britain isn't the border and wouldn't be the border of the EU either. The border is entirely contained on Ireland. So if you have open there, then it is pretty easy to get across and hire a boat.

Basically, your "piece of piss" is anything but and I think you are going to find that happens a lot with most of these assumptions being made.

Ireland will have more problems than any other Country, as trade wise, they are closer to us than any other EU Country and any hard stance will have big consequences on them, unlike a lot of the other Countries.

No border now, because its between two EU nations - FoM reigns.

No border post brexit = effectively allowing a non EU country (the UK) to provide an open door into the EU via Ireland. Consider the situation now if, say Poland decided they would allow unlimited immigration from Russia, and therefore into the UK.

So no, not a piece of $#@!ing piss.

Its a fucking island!

Northern Ireland wanted to remain. My solution gives them a bit of both

Sorry. How fucking hard is it to pout border controls at a ferry port? Still seems a piece of piss to me. Talk about trying to find a problem when one doesn't really exist

Its a $#@!ing island!

Yes but we don't live in Viking times so you can get to Ireland via plane these days as well and as Poles are EU citizens Ireland can't stop them coming in.

Not really simple is it.

Oh go of **** yourself if you want to be rude. With an irish grandmother, dual nationality is available to me so get off your high feckin horse. Expain or tell me why a port border post brexit doesn't work?

Again airport equals border. I really am missing something. Post brexit eu passport's mean fuck all

IT DOESNT WORK BECAUSE BELFAST PORT AND AIRPORT ARE MILES INSIDE THE BORDER.

Northern Ireland does not equal Eire does not equal the island of Ireland.

On arrival at the ferry or airport in northern Ireland
Is your passport Irish?
Yes
Please go to the UK desk as you are exempt.
Is your passport EU?
Yes
Please go to the rest of the world desk and have your entry visa ready.

Fuck me sideways you can be obtuse

¿?????????? So how the fuck does a Nigerian get into there?

I really don't see it. Please help me here. Calling me a cunt or thick or whatever doesn't educate me. Show me what I am missing ffs!

What about the near 300km open border between the EU and NI?. EU passport holders legitimately disembark at one of the many Irish ports or airports and then 'flood' over the border into the UK.

You are talking absolute nonsense. Only one person being obtuse.

YOU CANNOT HAVE DIFFERENT RULES FOR IRISH CITIZENS AND THE REST OF THE EU. CANNOT. END.

Okay.

And us having border controls at those places not being the border of the EU is spectacularly irrelevant.

So what? Who cares? Is it a problem? Do the northern Irish govt care? They still can't get to mainland UK post brexit without controls. Its a compromise but its not hard

Jesus wept.

Because they are ALREADY IN. Your little passport control at the airport is nonsense because anyone can get in a boat from anywhere in northern ireland and sail over to anywhere over here without a passport.

I thought you didn't like uncontrolled immigration into the UK. Or is it only into Cambs that raises your objections?

Why can't you? Its not to the detriment of the EU? Who says that Ireland , a nation so close to the UK their rugby team plays as one cannot be given special status to avoid having an inland border. If your answer is the EU then you can now see why 17 m voted leave
