REFERENDUM RESULTS AND DISCUSSION THREAD

It may just be me. I struggle with some of the conversations on this thread. Talk about going to the extremes. As a brexiteer I am with papper with his views about EU commissioner roles going forward. They will be irrelevant to us. I also don't get the recruitment issue. Of course we are attractive to qualified specialists like doctors. Invariably we pay more than they would get in their own country EU or otherwise. So they get a work permit and practice here. No issue. I know the practices of seasonal work in the fens of Cambs Norfolk and !Lincolnshire. Groups of seasonal migrant workers would come over for fruit picking. They would takes less pay than a UK citizen then and they take less now. Why? Well Romanian minimum wage is 300 euro a month! They get that a week fruit picking for £5 an hour. Sure they work hard but they are often casuals too with no tax or insurance paid. Now who in the UK would work that hard for that pay? I would not. So the system needs to change. If unscrupulous rich farm and fruit owners want to have their fruit picked they will have to pay for it post EU. That will mean price increases. But it will also mean fairer pay for unskilled workers.
 
The boy wonder Gideon, who lost his job because of the Brexit Vote, will become the new Editor of the London Evening Standard. Despite this role and the one he took with BlackRock Investments a few weeks ago he still thinks that he will be able to serve the constituents of Tatton as their MP.

He should be forced to give up his role as an MP.

In the brave new post brexit world we'll be free to pay people less than NMW. But this will only apply to foreigners. Theres no way at all that companies will stiff native brits.

The unemployable unforcable underclass will still fester unfortunately. The fall out of Capitalism. The Corporates see Labour Units - moveable Labour Units not people. The EU as a socially progressive movement didn't actually materialise. The stale old world. The world of Mandelson, Kinnock etc.

Oh god you are so right and cash in hand is completely outlawed and nobody even thinks about trying it #naiveorwhat.

I know what the book says. The reality in many cases is different. Very different. Still you believe what you want just like visage can put 600 million of tax payers money down to a minor accounting error. I know! I will not bother to invoice my international clients and rely on them paying me on trust.
